How do I export as GIF?

How do I turn a movie into a GIF file? Final Cut Express won't export as .gif.

do you have adobe premiere?

if FCE will export to AVI, you can use this program http://www.silvereaglesoft.com/convert-avi-gif.htm to convert it to a GIF file. I havent personally tested the program, but its worth a try.

I use Macintosh, so I can use it.
