Keyboard problem

Post by Carnage7p »

My parents are having a problem with their keyboard on their laptop, whenever they type "s" it types it twice. I adjusted the repeat rate so that it is almost as low as it goes and it still happens. Any suggestions?

i wouldn't think so because it's a laptop so it is the keyboard that came with it, and we have had the computer for about 3 years and have not had this problem until yesterday.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

You don't need a parachute to go skydiving. You only need a parachute to go skydiving twice.

Try a full sized keyboard in the laptop if problem still occurs then it is software otherwise it is hardware.

Sounds like a dodgy contact to me.

If you can safely remove the keyboard, wash it in boiling water, and then thoroughly dry it out on a warm setting with a hair-dryer.

Make sure it is completely dry before re-installing.

If it doesn't work at all then, at least you have an excuse to replce the keyboard!
