Pc to Tv with with s-video

Post by stickmurder30 »

Hi, I have a tv output in the back of my pc, and windows XP. What i want to do is to plug my pc to my tv so i can play "counter-strike" on my big tv screen. everything is pluged ( s-video) to the tv and should work. the last thing i have to do is to setup the display properties so the signals goes to the tv but I DONT KNOW HOW. i searched everywhere to find out how i can send the signal to the tv but i found nothing, can someone help me with this please ? ( with windows xp ). i know it should be simple but i dont know how.

thank you very much to the one who will answer my question.

i think u need a program - i used tvtool - search for it on google. that way you configure the output to be through the s-video and everything works fine! - one thing tho - tvtool isn't free... :)

In the display properties you should show two monitors, configure it there..... XP supports dual monitors and will see the TV as a second monitor...

have you got xp drivers? I mean my graphics card does that and i usually edit and then preview the vid to the tv... the problem is the colors don't look the same no matter how hard i tinker with it

I had a similar problem not too long ago when I re-installed my Matrox G400 card. The driver wasn't installed correctly, and nothing came up in the Display Properties box for a second monitor. Updates set of drivers later, and it suddenly worked fine!
