Online Backup Storage

Post by Matt »

I decided to try an online backup service to ensure I always had an uptodate copy of my photos.

I tried Carbonite but had a few problems.

Currently I am using Mozy and so far so good. I'm halfway through uploading my photos. It takes a while but once they are all up there I will only need to upload new photos as I add them to my collection.

I wrote a mini review on my other site for anyone that is interested.

Mozy is free for 2Gb of data and $5 a month beyond that.

When I joined MattHawkins that would have been half of my hard drive.

I've just finished uploading my photo collection. 30Gb.

My first PC had a 500Mb hard drive and that was plenty!

I openly mocked someone in my class for having an 8gb hard drive, claiming it was a waste of space. I was jealous really.

For anyone interested I have updated my review of Mozy.

I found a critical flaw in the system and cancelled my subscription.
