Find an old metal dustbin lid, get a couple of sticks, and bang out a millitary style drum beat on that!

Use a Kazoo and make a sound track yourself...

But seriously folks, as long as you're not selling your film or showing it in a public place I'm pretty sure you're alowed to use professional music.

D'ya know that if you officially add 5.1 Surround to a product you have to buy a license from Dolby or DTS? And they add a huge amount to the budget of a feature film, anything from £100,000 onwards...

Lol! You can't beat a good explosion! We once threw a deodrant can on a fire but it didn't exactly explode, just did the standard flame thrower thing...

Has anyone put an AA battery on a fire at all? It says they're highly flammable things but I'm not convinced in the slightest :o

That's art for you! You should see the Fine Art exibitions at Uni... The other day there was a tent with a sign outside it saying "Welcome to hell", and all there was inside was a white rope :o

Lol! Remember those 'Soda-Stream' things? Once a mate of mine said "I know, I'll make a bottle of gas" (i.e. he'll turn it on without putting any liquid in the bottle) and the thing exploded with a nice blue flame, and the bottle fired out, and the machine was rendered useless. Well it was...

I remember when my sister swallowed a battery two days before we were due to go on holiday. That was a barrel of laughs!

When we were doing Shosk I managed to get half a ton of fake blood in my ear, which seemed to only come out when I showered. There were traces of it for days after (let's hope it was fake blood eh? :))

Just dealing with the Shosk clips first... i've been so busy it's been a nightmare! But there are a few clips on my Lycos site (http://members.lycos.co.uk/ornsack ;) ) and I do have loads on my hard drive which I send to random people when I'm bored, so I'll get them up asap!

Lol! Yeah well normally I am, but I'd rather loose the odd limb by doing some amazing and complicated stunt, like backflipping down the side of a skyscraper, than blowing up in a horrific deodrant accident :D

No don't do it in Lightwave! I've found in experience that you don't do anything like that in CGI, no matter how good you get it, it'll still look a bit odd (even if you render millions of meta particles and use all those lovely physics plug-ins). Do anything you can in-camera. The way we do it is b...

I used to do that deodorant flame thrower thing a lot, until I kept hearing stories about kids blowing up, as if the flame goes back inside the can you have no chance :o

Lol! Well a brused a*** is a sign of a good filming session... Today a friend of mine reminded me of a time where a Scottish TV comedy company asked us to send them some stuff as they were looking for new program ideas, which was pretty cool. So off we went to film some random 'funny' stuff and a fr...

Yeah I think it's mainly the US, Canada and Japan that use NTSC, and some European countries use Secam (which is basically PAL anyway, same resolution, same framerate, just plays in black and white if you play SECAM tapes in PAL players, and vice versa.

Ha ha! They say don't work with Children and Animals but they should add Cliffs to that as well... Once when we were filming we'd just done the last shot on the side of a cliff, and started to walk back. Then the heavens opened and the rain was just pouring down. Then we found some lost kids, so we ...

Ha ha! I think we all invented 'Jackass' many years before Johnny Knoxville did... :P

I set my hair on fire once, but it wasn't film related, it was just in my pyromaniac days where I kept setting fire to all my toys! Good times... As you've probably guessed I've got a lot of time on my hands!
