 Oh look at me, I'm so inpirational and helpful... :P But seriously, I'd love to see what you've done on it Matt! I'm obsessed with creating realistic building explosions at the moment (well, about as realistic as you can get in CGI, it's not exactly the same as blowing up a proper building is...

Sorry I've been busy at Uni and going out at night, so it's been hard for me to do it. In fact I was so busy today I managed one post on this forum before being dragged away! But yeah blowing up a decent sized model can work wonders. Make sure it's no smaller than your average remote controlled car ...

Umm, never heard of them... The best sound effect librarys are the BBC ones. They're used so often in both amatuer and professional productions. In fact after several years of adding skid sound effects to my films I've become so used to the noise that I can spot it in several films and TV shows! But...

Lol!

Do you reckon people would drive safer if they replaced airbags with a big metal spike sticking out of the steering wheel?

Oh btw, you could scrap the airbag idea and have them smack their head against the wheel for added blood and gore goodness :D

Er maybe you could fill something resembling an air bag with air, pop it, and reverse it! Lol! Might look ok if the shot was fast enough, ha ha.

You don't wanna live here... Constant rain, all the miserable people, etc...

My old college mate came back from a years camping trip in Oz last Wednesday, and she's missing it already! She also came back with a hint of an Aussie accent too, which was surreal. Bristolian and Australian don't mix!

I remember seeing on a BBC technology show (namely Tomorrows World) a shopping trolly that could actually go in a straight line. You'd think that after years of them existing they'd do that by now anyway!

Never say "Don't try this at home", 'cus it's just asking for it! It's like walking up to a crowd of people and shouting "DON'T YOU DARE LOOK AT ME!!!", at the top of your voice! :P

I'd personally love to attach explosives to myself :)

Wise words... Plus he's only 12, I'd give it a few years before allowing him to play with guns :P

I've got an Iomega Buz for analogue capture, although sadly they're no longer being sold (mainly 'cus Pal users had to download several megabytes worth of plug-ins to get everything working). There are several products out there, check your local electronics store. I hear the "Dazzle" is a...

Lol!

A cheaper option would be to sit on a skateboard and handhold the camera as someone pushes you (don't put the tripod on the skateboard or it'll be horribly jerky).

Yeah we spent a-many-an-hour doing that! Especially one of our cats... She wouldn't leave it alone. The best thing to do is spin it round in a circle for ages, then move it in a straight line. The symptoms of dizziness will clearly show!
