Well, I've seen this kind of request before, and it is a nightmare. Suddenly you get a slew of footage that is 24p, 60i, 30p, lit completely different, dark, light, too blue, too green, and its just impossible to coordinate effectively. Where if you can do it yourself, everything would be consistent.

RE: Lost in Vietnam
Well coming soon I have a crate from Epsilon and Moore Millitaria, which I will take pictures. May not get to start heavy duty shooting this weekend, but I'll probably start the scenes where we don't have to weigh ourselves down with gear. Still waiting for the radio.

Well I'm taking a guess that you're using AE, so if you're not, ignore this post. Try using the beam tool though. It can be used in a 3d space, and has a built in glow (which sucks, if you want to add a glow, use Ryan-W's glow, the same as the lightsabers.)

I don't really like your tracers. What are you using to make them?

There are a few web sites theat offer free hosting and all u have to do is put tere link on ur site somewhere. Look around, its cheaper. Yeah but bandwidth sucks, and so does storage, and they like to put in tones of popups. Right now I'm using my friends subdomain, but I like the look of CamClub's...

RE: 1080i or 720p
With the HVX, I'd shoot 720p, because since the camera can only resolve about 540 lines, there really is no reason to shoot at anything higher, it's just more redundant data.

RE: Hostel 2
That's the problem with today's movies, you always leave the theater saying "well, at least it was well shot/had cool effects." When was the last time you left the theater and said, "Wow, what a great story!"

RE: Nuke in NY
From what I've seen in movies, when a nuke goes off, theres a big flash, so have it go to white right when it hits. Then slowly fade the white out to reveal the nuke blast.

RE: Re: RE: Another little war skit
The only thing that bothered me were the tracer rounds, and the lack of variety in the muzzle flashes from the AK. Other than those minor quibbles, its a good job.

PRC-10 anyone?
Mainly used in Korea and Early Vietnam, but I still feel justified in getting it; It's 200ish less than the PRC-25 (the eventual replacement around '65)
