RE: so.... helicopter chase...ahhhhhhh!

I'd go 3D. Most here (including me) do not have the ability or funds to create realistic model shots. 3D can be done for much cheaper.

RE: Making a Movie with 1 Camera: Is it possible?

Uh... I think that's what most of us do.

Maybe I'm wrong?

But anyways, a good way to make it seem like you had more than one cam is to do the entire scene more than once, moving the camera around for each time. Then you have the scene from 3+ different angles, makinging editing that much nicer.

Some of the cuts and camera angles didn't work, like when you crossed the axis on the chairs, it was jarring, unless you *wanted* that effect, but it sorta pulled me out of the scene. Nice experiment, thats what its all about anyways, to find what does and doesn't work.

Vegas is superior to Adobe, especially in surround mixing and 24p editing. However, I can't afford a copy of Vegas right now. Search aroud creativecow.net, they should have something. I dunno how much of a compositor Vegas is though, its mainly a NLE. Compositing should be done in something like Com...

When my friend went to Paris for the summer, he made sure to check that a quarter pounder with cheese was called a royale with cheese.

Sure enough, it was.

RE: 44 dog green lets have a chat

Uh, its just a fancy font, and what looks like a stock picture. Put some footage of the actual film in the teaser. (And if there is no actual footage yet, you should hold off announcing it) Teasers need something original. Check out the new Spiderman Teaser for inspiration, one of the coolest I've s...

Well this weekend is going to be our first big battle. I am working on securing leafblowers to create wind for the helicopters in the grass, and we'll have a lot of extras.

I'll keep you updated.

I'll take a picture when its all fixed up. The resin replica I got was damaged. But I can't complain, I got it for $70 only, compared to $430 or whatever.

I didn't like it. Its a subtractive flash, If you shot against white, you would never see it. Use an additive transfer mode, such as Add, Linear Dodge, or Screen. The smoke is fine being subtractive, but it seemed way too prominent, lower the opacity.

Remember, never use Luma Key on muzzle flashes.

It's a custom Magic Bullet preset.

Shot the first scene yesterday, but cameraman sucked and couldnt focus, so it needs to be reshot. cr**.

Got the M60 today, and I should be getting the last of the gear this week.

Actually, Im using Airsoft, but they're all painted and have real mags. As for flashes, we're going to record real flashes from an M4 at night, and then composite those into the shots.

Big picture update to come tonight. :D

If you filmed the glass on a black background, the screen transfer mode with some levels adjustments should be all you need.
