My half hour attempt, notice my substandard glasses. http://www.imagehosting.com/out.php/i49836_retouch3copy.jpg Wanted to keep the old person look so i left in a bit of the wrinkles. Didn't have an art director telling me what he wanted changed so I did a quick general retouch. The best way to view...

looks pretty good for in a white room, but the true test of a texture like that is when you set up the reflection maps.

Re: RE: Random explosion agus green screen raa

Digital Compositing Chroma screens is an ART due to the way colors are intepreted and video compressed and TV formatted you have alot of things to do to footage before during and after compositing, there is no clean cut way. Exactally. There is a reason ILM or WETA both have specialized keying depa...

Star Wars is not Sci-Fi. It is fantasy.

I also refuse to acknowledge the prequel trilogy exists besides being an advertisement for ILM. However the OT, more specifically ESB, is my favorite film ever made.

Artbeats has really good footage, however I know that some of us prefer not to shell out $150 for a NTSC/PAL clip or $50 for a half rez.

RE: 10 fatal mistakes amateur filmakers make

Lets make a list. 11. Zomg if we light it flat, it will look 3d, even with these 1/6 inch CCDs using 2.5mm lenses. 12. Who needs planning., I'll just find the right shots. 13. The built in mic is fine, man. 14. Whoops, I forgot to charge the battery. 15. Let's shoot in pitch black, even with a $200 ...

Actually, im surprised, that wasnt too bad. A little bit slow paced, and could do with a couple more cuts methinks.

Lets stop the flaming gentlemen. ;) Overall, a pretty good attempt. Some of the cuts and shots seemed a little bit awkward, but oh well, it can be overlooked. And I would have loved to see this attempted with the effort focused on lighting. Just so you know, DFN can work well. You just gotta know ho...

Look up the Letus35, made by Quyen Lee (sp?) at the DVinfo.net fourms. He makes an adapter that has a relay lense for the HD100, so you don't have to have the leafblower look.

Theres more to it than filming slow, that can be achieved in DV by shooting at 30fps, twixtoring, and then slowing it down to 24fps. They use motion control rigs to make different passes, and they're all composited together, so its the exact same camera movement. To see this in action, take a peek a...
