I'd take the HD100 over the HVX anyday. Interchangeable lenses, a higher resolution (HVX can only resolve about 960 by 540, and no where as near as sharp as the JVC at its native 1280 by 720), and no damn P2. I can get an entire hour on one Mini DV tape, rather than like 12 minutes or whatever befor...

Yeah when you search findsounds.com, look up the sample rate and make sure its at least 22050 Hz. I also try to find 16 bit.

Check out Ryan W's Lightsaber tutorial. It gives a really good beginning lesson on keyframing, masks, blending modes and effects. And you get to make lightsabers.

I'd do that if I needed the camera shake to be really intense, but if I want a light rumble, then the wiggler is the way. Also somewhere I remember seeing an expression someone wrote to generate the shake too.

Use the Multiply Transfer mode.

If you have AE pro, then use the wiggler to generate the keyframes. If not, then yeah, thats how to do it.

They're all great, its impossible to say which is best. Now here are some pro's for each software.

AE - Widely used on the internet, lots of tutorials
Shake - Completely different UI, use nodes; used a lot in the industry
Combustion - Similar to Flint, Autodesk's industry standard.
