RE: What

I love slow panoramic views following the action of the characters. I hate tightly cropped "blair-witch-style" camerawork that makes me feel sea-sick when I watch it - Like in Battlestar Galatica (New series) for instance.

First of all, have a thought about this: With all the focus on terrorism, do you really want to start making pipe bombs for effects in your movies? What happens if someone (Like a neighbour or friend) formed the opinion that you wanted to blow somewhere up? Grant and I could tell you how to make pip...

Re: how to melt someone?

i was wondering if anyone could help me. my latest film involves one person melting someone else and watchin them form into a puddle on the floor. any ideas? Do you mean like the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz? That was a classic old-skool effect! They had a lift built into the set. The witch's c...

Perhaps you could just go with Candy Floss (Cotton Candy: US), and then you can eat the set when you're done!

How do you make a form object in Powerpoint? Or would you use a text box? Just fudge it! Have the presentation set so 1 letter is shown at a time, with a key-press activated pause in-between. That way, the presentation can work to the actor's speed! Type the word Hello as a password: H <key-press p...

RE: Breakaway Table?

You can get wallpaper pasting tables that are very expensive and will collapse under the weight no problem.

Alternatively, if you construct a table, just make sure the joints for the legs are not glued or screwed, so they can easily give way.
