I would say if it is really crucial that it be corrected, use masking combined with color correction. Good luck though because that is gonna take a while. Personally, i would just reshoot.

RE: Re: RE: Oh man what would you do to make yours the best.

Be sure you rehearse the scene several times right before you film it, so it will go perfectlty. Just rehearsing the day before and filming the next day is not a good idea, because if someone stumbles, your film is ruined. So best to take it scene by scene. This was probably obvious, but as you said...

I think the more important thing to ask is why are you spending $1100 on software that you can get for 1/4 that price w/ an academic discount?!

Even an H2 will do. Ewww. Those things are an insult to the name Hummer. Hummers are meant to be bullet proof, camoflaged, and have a machine gun on top. Not rolling around freeways trying to look "cool". :| Yeah scratch that actually. But still, an H2 camoflauged would be better than a r...

Well cams don't necessarily have to be expensive for 16:9 stretch mode, mine has it and is <$500. It uses all pixels and just compresses the image onto the 4:3 ratio, and then when i edit it automatically appears in the timeline as true 16:9.

if you can get a pro to do some pyrotechnics for ya that would be great. Also, if anyone u know has a hummer, that would be great also. Even an H2 will do.

RE: The attraction with Widescreen?

Yeah, just more "cinema like" i guess, as Ornasck said, it is more pleasing for the eye to look at a wider image because that's how we see normally, with a wider field of view as oppossed to a box like 4:3.

RE: Hey I have a question

Firewire (I-link) is more of a stable connectoion than USB 2.0, so you will have a better chance of not loosing frames. But if you're talking about USB 1.1, don't even bother, it will capture horrible, stick to the I-link.

The mixing really should not be that hard. Like was said, just some talking sound effects overlayed by some ringing phones and police radio sound effects and there ya go. You've gotta be willing to put in the time if you want a great film, and that includes video as well as sound.

RE: Music Video Tips

I shot a music video once (a fake one, not anything serious), and I used a cd player on set which worked out perfectly for lip syncing. I just lined up the waveforms from the footage and the actual mp3 exactly in post and all worked out great. Then just cancel out the track from the video and it wil...

I highly doubt it's the ram. I ran a test on it with an app called PC doctor and it came back clean.

Plus, there's nothing like a freshly formated PC, no clutter or other random junk that accumulates over the course of 6 months. :D

RE: Major PC problems! Need help.

Well, I too am thinking it's the radeon. This really sucks because that was 1/4 the cost of the whole PC. And I didn't build it myself, it's a custom built HP, I just picked out the componants. However, I'm finding it a little wierd that the graphics card would cause Windows instability at the softw...

I just submitted this same question to another forum i'm on, and I want to get as many opinions as possible, so I'll just copy and paste it here... Exactly. That's why I chose Combsution over AE, because it's similar to Discreet Smoke, which is a standard in compositing.
