Sorry to say but you did waste you time writing that. This is a dark comedy so I'm taking something a little serious here, in this case suicide and teen depression, and putting some dry-humor in it. We actually started filming this in May but due to equipment rental difficulties we couldn't get a ho...

RE: The Gardener
Short version...
I dig the opening credits, I like the camera work and the color of the film, I cheered when the whistle got ran over.

Well here is the thing...I really don't own a camera. I have a Panasonic PV-GS15 but it has been broken since I filmed Code of Dissolution back in the summer of '05. I rent equipment from the place I sort of work at right now and when I'm done with that I'll be likely renting equipment from the Univ...

Ever heard of an implication? It will cut 5 minutes of repetitive macking hooblah from your film and the story will continue. A lot of them are unnecessary and are just box office boosters for the male viewer (mostly male). So unless it is a crucial impact on your storyline, I would suggest just imp...

Tut tut tut. A typical Yank comment about somewhere else in the world! It was a joke, tough guy. Thanks  Seriously though, only you Yanks would ellect a guy that like as your leader! Correction, only most of you Yanks would elect a guy that like... I wasn't old enough to vote at the time a...

He isn't talking about people hacking into your movies. A computer with open internet access is more prone to viruses and spyware, which can crash your computers, making you lose all your movie data. I use a laptop that is used by others in my family so I can't really stop them from accessing the in...

I doubt that. *Children of Men had a shot that was about 10 minutes long, but it was composed of about 3 different hidden cuts. I myself am a little disappointed in the digital effects age, there are so many things in modern movies that would look better if they'd just do them physically. *clip is i...

What's Wrong With You Trailer! (page 2)
This is the official production thread for our newest short film What's Wrong With You?! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/Kentertainment/WWWY%20Myspace/screenshot1.jpg Synopsis: Phil is about to take a bizarre, but seemingly normal journey into the mind of his friend Harvey whose feeling a lit...

Who's the dude who made the film, Alien Dawn? Anyways, that was an awesome film with some great live effects and explosions up until the end when they had that terrible cg animated alien space-craft. Just about ruined the entire film. Mushiman. He left because some of the newbies at the time made h...

RE: Digital effects or real effects
The only thing I ever use digital effects for is muzzle flashes, but I haven't been doing those kind of movies lately. When writing a film I usually refrain from digital effects because I know at my level of filmmaking they will automatically lack goodness.

Get a piece of PVC or galvanized steel pipe (maybe about 5-7 feet long) and on one end attach a hose and the other a sprinkle head. Have someone sacrifice getting wet while standing on a ladder or something overhead and spraying it. That is my best suggestion. I have tried numerous times to do rain ...

That was pretty good and the visuals looked great...you should consider maybe someday this summer just making a 10 minutes WWII short or something because you've got it all there and you've got a pretty nifty look of it going down to. My only suggestions would be to do sound design a little better, ...

Like everyone I'm always pretty happy and excited when I get any sort of recognition, but if I never did get any (as little as I do) I'd still be happy. I'm making movies because it's my artistic expression, and although most of the stuff I'm doing is comedy, there is always and underlining message ...

RE: Another Slightly Controversial Discussion.
Are you talking about appreciation from other filmmakers or from the public audience? Like how a person is more likely to know who Wes Anderson is rather than Robert Yeoman.

Good grief that was fast and full o' BLAM! It was pretty sweet, I'll check it out when you put it online. Some of your visual fx look pretty good with the exception of one explosion (26 second left), it to me was just too fake looking. When the bullet hits/dust are popping up I'd suggest finding som...

I like puzzles and challenging myself. Every time I direct, there is always a problem that has to be solved and though sometimes I just want to give up and I say I'm going to give up, I never do until there is absolutely no way that whatever it is that needs to be solved can be solved. So basically,...
