I should have specified more, it was going to be a slow, dramatic unrealistic explosion, but I decided to cut it out and have a subtitle read 'The Earth was destroyed' or something of the like. It may not be as exciting, but it's a minor part of the story since the humans got away in time, and colon...

Planet Explosion Stock
For a quick scene I need a planet to explode. I made a 3D model of it so I could pan the camera and such, but I need some stock footage of a huge explosion. Does anyone know where I could find some that's fairly good quality? And I really can't make it myself.

Yes, the graphic novel look of 'Scanner'. I own Photoshop Elements 2, and my process now is to grab each frame and export them individually after they have been colored, but is theere a Photoshop that lets you import and work on video? It would just be easier because the colors need to stay relative...

I'll check out that program, is it free? It'd be easier if I had a graphics tablet, does anyone have one and would recommend it? The one I was thinking about getting is a Wacom but it's 100 dollars or so. Here is a before and after pic, It's not perfect but It's the look I think. Filters I tried, in...

Alright, alright, I didn't want to say this for being acussed of copying, because it kind of is; but I'm trying to emulate the look of Richard Linklater's film 'A Scanner Darkly'. It seemed to me like they basically traced over the footage that they shot live action, and shaded and outlined definiti...

Photoshop AutoResizing - to 720p
Hello. For a movie that I'm making, I'm shooting it with the only camera I have acess to. A MiniDV. Rather than spending 12 hundred thousand dollars on an awsome 1080i enabled Sony camera, I'm going to trace aroung the lines and shapes of each frame, opening the DV frames and moving them into a new ...

I've never actually seen it, my sig is just a quote, but in general they are baads...Bloodrayne...Mario...Street Fighter...Uwe Boll... Anyway, I think that will be the most widely liked, the 'sad/slightly depressing ending but not so depressing as to be uber depressing. Oh and a random question, doe...

Thanks for the input. We still have not decided, but I like the subtle sad ending. I just saw United 93 (amazing movie) and I think movies are made to bring out emotions in the audience. That movie was kind of depressing, as it should be; to stay true to the subject matter. And it could be just that...

her eyes turn red and shes a vampiire. then the father gets eaten or somethin Woah. Thanks for all the input. I think we'll go for both endings or on the DVD have an alternate ending option. I agree that there are too many 'happy' endings. I even tried to make the music in the movie go from happy t...

Ending: Happy or Sad?
My friend and I are currently shooting a movie. It's about a kid whose dad is gone a lot and he doesn't recieve any support and such. The kid runs away and the second half is about the dad's search for him. We wanted to experiment with character development and talking scenes, hence the somewhat sim...

RE: Using small models?
The model(s) should be fairly detailed if you want it to look absolutely real. If you build a house, it should have curtains, lights; the more work you put it, the more real it will look. Also, using real things like twigs for trees or something usually look more real than created stuff. If you have...

2D Animation (Final Cut/Photoshop)
Trying 3d animation (Maya) took too long to render and if it didn't look real it looked kind of funny, so I decided to try 2D animation. I would draw drawings, cut out the different parts (legs, arms etc.) in photoshop, and then animate the layers in FCE. Has anyone done 2D animation or know tips or...

Truggy, switching from Mac to PC or Pc to Mac?
There's a lot of games coming for Mac, Quake 4, CoD2. I hope they support games more, and lower the price...$50 for KotoR and $20 for Xbox...
