Just the Panasonic AG-DVX100(A) and the AG-DVC30. The Canon XL2 provides some level of control over the gamma, but it's second best to the Panasonic. The GS-400 also has a preset gamma setting... but eh...

I'm not trying to start an argument...but, okay. Sure. See, there you go again. Just stop. Please. Canon ZR65's lowlight conditions suck, but I wouldn't be filming with them anyway. Even with good lighting, the colors are washed and grainy. I haven't used a ZR65, but I've used a ZR50 extensively. Y...

Whether it is a "night shot" function, or using a slow shutter speed, it definitely lacks cinematic value. It's worthless in my eyes. You might be able to pass it off in a documentary, but definitely not in a narrative film.

Okay, well I'll just let you know that I didn't go over to Mushiman's site and copy his movie. F uckin' a. Chill out. I was just making an observation, not an accusation. Didn't know this needed to turn into an argument. :? I'm just saying that it's hard to make a low-light horror film with an old ...

Running Late...doesn't somebody get stabbed in that? That's a completley different story, if you ask me. Hence I said synopsis, not story. As far as the story is concerned, they're completely different, but the synopsis is almost identical... Running Late: Why is it when you're late for work if any...

The synopsis sounds a lot like Mushiman's film "Running Late." :?

The script is decent, if you can make everything work out (locations, cast, etc.) the way it should. Learn to use then/than. Good luck!

It seems to me that the Panasonic HVX200 will be the king of prosumer HD cameras this year. The only downfall being the cost of the P2 media cards. Read about the HVX200 ($5,995) below: http://www.dvxuser.com/articles/HVX200/ http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Panasonic-Announces-AG-HVX200-HD-Flas...

Maybe it was just the compression of the picture, but it appeared that the letterbox also had a blur applied. If this was the case, then change the order in which you applied the effects, or change the export order of the effects to make the letterbox last. This goes for all effects, not just the on...

That is a possibility. Though I'd probably recommend a 1/4 or 1/2 CTB gel on the key. Only the key should be soft and diffused. Make your backlight really hard and put a full CTB gel on it. White balance BEFORE you put any gels on your lights though. Then find some creative way to light the backgrou...

It's probably the best single chip camera out there. But that's judging it only on paper. I've never used it, and can't judge on its performance.

The GL2 has a 1/8" mic jack, and a shoe mount on the front of the handle. You may want to look at some of the Beachtek XLR adapters if you're looking to hook up multiple mics, or run 20' lines. Well, you need to know if you're camera has a 1/8" or 1/4" microphone jack. Please tell me ...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Filming at night

at the very least, three-point lighting Actually, when shooting at night, three point lighting probably isn't the best solution. The shadows are much more apparent at night, and should be rich. Your best bet will probably be to neglect using a fill, using a soft, diffused key, and a strong backligh...

Doesn't look very good to me. It looks like you just stuck a light out of frame and aimed it at your subject. It doesn't look natural or motivated whatsoever. A backlight would also be nice. Aside from that, another option, if you have a car or car battery is to use one of these 8 watt fluorescents ...

The VX2100 will run around $2,300 at most reputable dealers, making it about $500 more expensive than the GL2. If you can afford the XL2, then there is no point in looking at a GL2. Honestly though, unless you absolutely need the interchangeable lens system, true 16:9, and the reach of a 20x lens, t...

You can composite it in After Effects relatively easy if you know your way around the program, though I'm not sure where you'd get the footage of the landing crafts, soldiers, etc.

How is it better than consumer cameras? Three chips, full manual iris, shutter, and white balance, manual audio control, optical image stabilization, L-series fluorite lens, manual picture adjustment, zebra pattern, color bars, clear scan, etc. Though, if you're thinking about buying a GL2, it's pro...

I usually shoot with a two man crew and it's easier not to do one and make up the shots on set, as we go. Right, but nothing says you can't move away from the storyboards. Usually, you draw storyboards to make sure you get enough coverage. Once you shoot all that, you can go back and get some B-rol...
