I do always find spaceships that don't look like airplanes to be really cool. Exsept for fighters those should look like jets. That said its a good start.

I would just get a desk top and shoot the hell out of what you do in Mauritius, I mean its digital just shoot away. Also if you seem to be light something it presents a good editting exersise. Also I wouldn't buy a computer for one thing, its good to invest in those things.

RE: Script Frenzy!

That sounds really intersting I'll defently have to look into it. We should have everybody post their work here as well if you pretisapate to at the very lest help jestate peoples ideas. But a 20,000 word script doesn't sound that bad.

Right the top doesn't have a lens, working digging up some more and yes you can zoom. It just alows you to have a larger shot.

RE: Wide Angle Lens

Well a few years ago I picked up a wide angle lens from Sony for my dvx2000 cost about $400 and was worth every penny. While I couldn't really see the diffrence while I was shooting because the cameras little lcd didn't show me what the lens was seeing, as soon as I poped the video onto my computer ...

RE: Editing Weapon of Choice

I use Vegas 5, started on version 3 and will probably upgrade to 7 when I get some extra scrach laying around. I started with Vegas because I had had some bad experances with both Premere (which I now use at school) and final cut. then I saw a segment on sonic foundrys Vegas video software on TechTV...

Brick Wars

So I had been meaning for a while to shoot a movie with Legos and really was itching to start some green screen and computer effects work. What can I say I am behind in this department. So here is my first foray into the world off effects and animation and such all with Lego. http://video.google.com...

Hmm...on one hand, it seems like an excellent way for people to look beyond gore and special effects and actually try to develop great stories with three-dimensional characters. On the other hand, it also seems like giving in to the anti-gun peacenik fanatics. Therefore I will forego this little ex...

Non violent film fest

So I had an idea when we were having the long gun debates, people saying they are evil etc and then churning out really violent movies. So this idea hatched in my head. How about we do a small contest where every body intersted trys to submit a shot non-violent movie. No guns no knives, swords explo...
