well I will spare you my messy apartment. I was sitting at work this morning thinking about this thread, and was wishing I had my cammera, just for giggles and clame that my edit bay at work was my home editting sweat. But I figured that all the bata tapes and mix of modern and 20 year old stuff, an...

part of my resistance to CGI is that as a filmmaker its just more fun when shooting to do live pyros and blood, i'm convinced you haven't really made an action or horror movie untill you have layed on the ground covered in fake blood, as its drying to your skin and hair, etc.

RE: Is your editing computer connected to the

Yes because I don't have another computer, well I have a laptop (a mac) but its not up to editting snuff ie small hard drive and only imovie. If I had some cash laying around I would probably build myself an editting rig that was only conected to my home network but probably not the internet proper....

its all in how they are used how they look and the movie. In a low budget thing I am more forgivng, but I do like it when I know they actualy blew something up etc. As long as it looks good I'm cool with it. Though in almost every case I hate CGI blood.

Your style

I always wonder if everybody is aware of the style that they have behind the cammera or if they are just thinking, well this seems to be the right way to shoot this, or well this is how I was told I had to. So in a few quicke sentaces give us your directing style. I like low light when inside, candl...

Fake rain

So this has been going through my head a for a while. I keep wanting to use fake rain, but I'm always trying to come up with a quick easy way to do it, and avoid CG, so what are people ideas opionions views critisisms of fake rain at the amature moviemakers level/budget. This is also so that a new t...

Not bad little show at first, which probably could have been a bit more intersting. Also Barnes seems like you use the same orage grading filter on everything, you might want to try something without that, just a thought, it does make a lot of your work look the same. Did like the fireworks good to ...

people can take creative lisance with my script they don't have to make a film nour like I had in mind when I wrote it, it could easly be in the modern day well lit and in bright vibrent color. insted of dark moody, 40's ish and black and white.

I wouldn't be suprsied if some of the plasmas have computer moniter hook up ports on the back of them, I know I was reading about one a while ago that did. I think its becoming more common, but I could be wrong its very early in the morning.
