With fog is definately better, but it seems the tank is too dark compared to the background.

RE: CG lighting experiments

I know absolutely nothing about CG, but to me it looks pretty damn good, however I think the two pics with the fog look too bright, I think the second, darker picture fit better with the background. Looking good though!

the best weapon a hitman could use....is an icicle, because the evidence melts away. has that been used in a movie before....? The Russian mafia kills people by holding them down and stuffing snow into their throats. They asphyxiate in a few minutes, then their residual body heat melts the snow. No...

Are these shots from the movie, or just stills? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the knife doesn't look particulairly sharp, is it real?

RE: FightScene - The Movie - What do you think?

It was pretty damn good in my opinion, the colour really jumped out at me too, what were you shooting on, it looked like pro grade to me! Only gripes are the repetitive sound effects and the fact you didn't show what happened after he jumped. Great work, now just incorporate the same quality of figh...

RE: Filming: Study it or just do it?

Yeah, both for me. I've always just filmed what I felt was right, picked up some books and info off the web along the way. Now I'm doing a minor degree in Film alongside my major in Communications Studies at the UofC.

Looks interesting, why the tiny little square of footage in the middle though? Also, either improve drastically on the special effects or work around it and don't use them at all (I'd personally go with option #2).

That's really too bad, I quite liked it. Definately A grade material in my mind... but them's the breaks. Did you at least have the rubric beforehand so you could shoot by it? If no; get yourself into the profs office and argue it, it's really the only way to go in post-secondary!

RE: Pressured - Scene 4 (school film)

Horrays for Lost music! 'Twas good, I quite liked the camera work, had something of a documentary feel to it, and the dolly shots were superb. Some of the fighting lacked force, but all in all was quite well done. Will you be posting the whole shebang at any point?

3. (In regards to the very end of the video) Is that a Steyr TMP!? And, if so; HOW??

RE: Film around a Location or Locate around a film?

I'm of the opinion that if you can't get all of the people you need, and every piece of equipment into your car the location is useless. I also find that chloroform is a handy tool for getting people into the aforementioned car.

I rolled it back to iTunes 6.0.5.20 and regained my songs, the space on my iPod and my skins. Now I can just sit and wait until Apple gets their shite together and puts out an actual wokable piece of software. I am missing that gapless playback pretty hard.

Try running a head cleaning tape through it. If that fails take it into a respectable repair shop. They're really the only ones who can solve problems with delicate electronics.

RE: vcr to computer

You'll need to have some sort of A/V inputs on your computer. Some nowadays come with them built right in (usually RWY RCA jacks and sometimes a S-Video plug). If you don't have these already there are lots of PCI/USB/Firewire aftermarket things you can buy. Dazzle makes pretty good stuff on the che...

RE: BlackJack now online!!

D*mn fine work, that was excellent. As a tribute to noir you had it just about perfect, special props to the actors and whoever wrote the dialogue. I do have a couple gripes though; the very opening scene (after the credits) was too bright, it should have been night, and it should have been foggy/ra...
