You're welcome to use an adaptation of my avatar, but I personally wouldn't want to just rip off Kill Bill for my logo. It's weird, I made that thing nearly three years ago in MS paint!

RE: iTunes 7...

Yeah, a pretty piece of my Library went AWOL after I updated, noitably the "Recently Added" section, which amounted to ~ 200 songs. I had to find the MP3's, re-improt, and re-convert them (Which incidentally takes a hella' lot more time now too). My iPod has gone all screwey on me too, son...

OMG, you've just thrown me into an existentialist-filmmaking crisis Keith! I have no logo! I suddenly feel disillusioned with my life! I'm also using internet abbreviations! And exclamation points! I'm digging the retro logo though, especially the one with the starburst in your avatar. For some reas...

iTunes 7...

... sucks. Anyone who owns an iPod, or uses iTunes for anyother reason should avoid it at all costs. F*cks with your settings, deletes music and kills any oportunity to skin either iTunes or your iPod, as I so pleasantly discovered last night.

Have you SEEN any behind the scenes footage of George Clooney acting? That man defines gunt.

RE: Re: How do you actually get into the film industry?

Q: How do you get into the film industry? A: Step One - find an executive to a major production studio. Step Two - get down on your knees, and... I'd say take some film related courses and spend every waking minute making connections and working on a showreel. I'm personally doing a major in Communi...

For those from the land of high-schools of 5000+ students, yes, great films are on occasion produced. And where do those aspiring film-makers next take their work? To a local festival, maybe from there moving on to provincials (state level for Americano's) and even the national level. Just because a...

True that, be original, and stay away from the three mainstays of high-school films; slash horror, gun action, and poorly aimed "social commentary".

RE: Capture through USB

Want to hear something funny?

USB 2.0 - 480Mbit/s supported
Firewire - 400Mbit/s supported

Crazy, I know. Firewire is still better though, as it offers control of the camera, as well as some other smaller factors.

NTSC isn't just a low resolution, it's bad quality anyway (compare the fuzzyness of American sitcom images with the crispness of ours etc). Funny that. British sitcoms aired here (Canada is NTSC too) are fuzzy compared to Canadian and US signals. It's probably the conversion for broadcast that deuc...

RE: Body Armor

Most airsoft sites sell fake body armour vests in the $20-$80 range. That will be the best looking alternative, and probably cheaper than lifejackets in the end.

Depending on how intense your actor(s) are you could drip wax from a candle into the shape of the pentagram, then wipe the wax off. The hot wax will irritate and raise the skin into a fairly convincing burn (convincing, because that's what it actually is). This won't have a lasting effect, and won't...
