Doesn't MH have this in the making bits of one of his films, he does exactly the same thing I've checked, and haven't found any... How about scanning in the notes you already have and printing that off, or printing off of the internet... Or you could use your own real money?? I have tried scanning ...

No noise at all!

It's really quiet. And yeah, there's some great music from that movie. :D

RE: Easy $40 Camera Dolly

Thank you very much! I just set the XL2 to auto so I could get a quick shot. I will be using this tomorrow on a new vid, written by DarkElastic from the Orkney Movie Group for a contest I am entering. I was really pleased when I watched it. You get that giddy feeling of accomplishment...and no one i...

Creating money?...

Well, in one scene in a film I am doing tomorrow, the character opens a briefcase to show that it is full of money. As the case will be a closeup, play money really isn't an option. I have already filled the case to the brim with empty VHS tapes, so that I simply have to line the top with bills, and...

In Premiere if you just export widescreen as 4:3, it adds the bars for you. I get what you're saying.

From what I know, Youtube just upgraded to the ability to take 16:9 footage squeezed into 4:3, and to make it the correct ratio.

Easy $40 Camera Dolly

Well, I looked around at several designs, and they all seemed to be rather straightforward. However, there was alot of nonsense (IMO) about using these angles and 8 skateboard wheels. I came up with another way to do this, and it'll cost ya $40! (Actually $37 with tax). You need to get two poles (I ...

I loved the color correction. In my opinion if the sound was louder it would have made the effects seem bigger. It looked pretty though.

So basically...it looks exactly the same as it did when it left the camera, right? I think he's trying to say that it was shot in 4:3, with the bars added over top in camera to give the semblance of widescreen. Then he imported the 4:3 footage, cut out the bars (which I believe were acting as a mas...

Only a 20 mile drive. From what I remember, lethalgirth is around Canton, and Smokey is around Norton.

RE: The end is near

Nice...I could definitely see this with several sequels on Youtube. In the beginning the characters were talking a little strangely in my opinion, but other than that it was awesome.

Isn't the youtube tag down? I've tried before, around when the MH server was done, and the option disappeared...

Good stuff, by the way. ;)

Yep, that's correct. Video shot on LP with an Canon will not play back on a Panny, vice versa, I've learned that the hard way.

If you must shoot LP, ensure that you can use the same camera to import footage.

As long as you shoot SP, the tape should play back fine in other cameras.

Well, I was working on some stuff for a Battle of 1812 doc I'm doing at school. I used that great ship we'll use in your flick, and some footage from Lake Erie. I was able to somewhat composite them together. I used a still 3D picture. At any rate, it shows that it's relatively easy to composite, ev...

That actually looked incredibly realistic. If you hadn't mentioned that it was day for night, I would have thought that it was night. Congrats on a job well done!

Well, it certainly looks interesting, and I look forward to viewing it. I guess the reason that no one can comment is because there's nothing really to comment on. As part of this film, I believe that you are intending to keep things hushed up with no leaks on it, and you've accomplished that. You'v...

neighborhoodstudios@gmail.com This can be done, although it will be difficult. I don't know if you will have a permit to shoot there, but there are two ways that I can think of to do this. 1) Use a boom pole and mic. These are very directional, so if you get the mic overhead and point it at the acto...

Check www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com

Or google. Firewire really shouldn't run you more than $20.

Yes, that would be good. I'm sure that there are several free or low cost storage sites that MH users can utilize for collaboration on their projects. In my opinion, that's the easiest way to go.

Anyway, people were talking about a place were you can post your projects and files I tried that with a MattHawkins FTP server, where people could work together on files, but that got shot down. Basically, if you want MH to have a place to upload files, it simply will not happen, because of t...
