Noted the points about the kickback. It was a test but when I do it for real I'll alter the shape of the muzzle flash. Maybe 4-5 different shapes randomly used? I used one frame of flash every other frame of footage. Number of rounds per magazine wasn't something I bothered with as you may have noti...

In reality he wanted food ... having only been fed 5 minutes before. To teach him a lesson I gave him a full mag of 7.62mm ...

It was fairly stressful shooting myself, having only ever shot other people before ;)

You don't always lose quality when you resize something. If you are making something smaller then the quality is no worse than if you started with something that size in the first place.

You only start to lose quality if you are increasing the size of something of a fixed resolution.

The idea was make something that 'looked' like an AK rather than being an exact replica. I completely made up the sights based on things I had in my tool box.

The magazine is too curved as well but thats all part of the artistic licence I used to make it :)

If you pour it on cardboard it will stick to it. If you tried pealing it off afterwards it would be covered in bits of cardboard :D

Using your imagination also involves asking the right questions and learning from others!

Grant and 2nd_Recon are capable of using their imaginations I suspect ... sharing ideas helps fuel them after all ...

Matrix Effect on a shoe string

Ok the other Matrix thread got me thinking ... Lets say a character pulls out a gun (for example :)) and you wanted to freeze and have the camera swing round the character 'bullet time' style. Now you've only got one camera so you've need to fake it .... Your actor pulls the gun and freezes. You swi...

It can do progressive scan. Is that the same? I haven't tried it yet ... although it is set to 'auto' rather than 'off'.

Ornsack, what JVC are you getting? Student loan time again is it :D

Thanks for the links. I agree. dvdrhelp (www.vcdhelp.com as it used to be called) is THE site for VideoCD, DVD, DivX etc. Everyone please visit this site. I rarely have to use any other when I've got a question about VCDS and stuff.

Doom9.org is also worth a look.

It looks like Geocities won't allow a direct link to the file.

Go HERE and then select lala.mpg from the file list.

I counted 1 - 2 - 3 then did the plunger. The victim flinched on 3 before the pressure built up in the following half second. In future I will not tell the victim when I'm going to hit the plunger :) We only did a count because we wanted the victim to react. Getting washing up liquid and food colour...
