When you set the transparency to 'lumenence' do you see the muzzle flash overlaid on your footage in the little preview window? Click here for transparency settings pic 2) Video Tra...

A VCD can only hold a stereo soundtrack.
More info from :
VCDHelp VCD Info
A SVCD usually only stores a stereo soundtrack but can hold an MPEG2 Multichannel (5.1) soundtrack. Only certain equipment plays this format.

In the olden days (say, the year 2000) getting a decent capture card wasn't easy. These days it isn't so hard. Even the most modest of PC is capable of fairly decent video capture. I bought a Studio DC10+ capture card and it worked fine in my AMD 400MHz. I have read reports that even some 30 TV card...

If this was a one-off project you could download a 30 day trial of Adobe Premiere or an alternative such as Ulead Mediastudio Pro. A 30 day trial is available from here : Ulead MediaStudio Pro 30 Day Trial Not used it myself but it seems to have a fairly good list of features. I would be suprised if...

Using a 74minute CDR you can fit just over 70minutes of video on a CDR. Or just under 80 minutes on an 80 minute CDR. The important thing to remember is that a VideoCD uses a constant bitrate. That's the standard. So no matter what your source is, once it is converted to VCD format MPEG1 it will use...

In a word .. no :) Ripping a DVD refers to the process of extracting the information from the disc digitally and then re-encoding or recording on another medium. The best you could do with a standalone DVD player is output from the analogue connectors and capture using a video capture card or a norm...

Premiere is the package we use for all our video editing needs. There are a number of reasons why we use Premiere which should explain why it gets a fair few mentions! 1. Premiere is one of the first packages we used. As video editing packages are fairly complicated we didn't want to spend time lear...

There are a few fundamental differences between VCD and SVCD. 1) VCD uses MPEG1 compression to fit about 70-80 minutes of video onto a single CD. The bit rate and resolution are fixed so 10 mins always takes up the same about of space. 2) SVCD uses MPEG2 compression. The bit rate is variable meaning...

The prop guns we used were mainly toy guns which fired plastic pellets. We had them as kids so when we started messing around with cameras we already had them in our toy boxes. I have recently bought a couple of handguns from the online auctions but the quality varies. I'm sorry I can't be more usef...

TMPGEnc has an 'mpeg tools' section which allows you to cut/merge mpegs.
I have used it for videocd stuff. The latest version is 2.54 i think.
The official demos are available from http://www.tmpgenc.net/ but other versions are available from 'unofficial' sites.
