shell ejecting airsoft gun.
Hi, What i found the most annoying in using airsoft weapons for a short, is the fact that they did not eject shells or showed any smoke. This way, somehow, airsoft with a post production muzzleflash added , still looked kinda fake. Now i found this on the web. IT'S a shell ejecting m-16 short, that ...

RE: Addiction is Murder
intro was nice, but it took me too long all these titles and this awful hillbilly music. so i watched the trailer. It's really worse, homevideo srtyle. Man, film is a visual medium. You remember that the next time you plan a shot.

RE: blank firing guns
Model Guns are actually a very good choice when making a movie. First of all the fact that they do not produce aloud bang is very good. it atracts less attention than firing blanks, the sound will be addes later anyway. Second of all, they are a lot safer than blank firers, because the muzzle flash ...

started out very good, nice music and the blood splatters. Titel was a bit crappy comicbook style. The part With the ancient writings and stuff was very good. Acting was poor, except for the girl, she was alright.. editing was sometimes weird. bad continuity. no extra lighting made the picture qualit...

I am a total advocate for the use of squibs, since compressed air might look good in some circumstances, butbmostly it is too blunt, too big, all these hoses and stuff and the actor cannot move freely with all that stuff attached to him. Furtermore 3D and stock footage effects look really ridiculous...

build the external of a tank in wood around a car or pickup, then paint it real good(airbrush) camouflage it with branches and leafs, to cover it up. The barrel can be a large bore pipe. if it is metal, you might want to put a blackpowder charge in it to simulate gunfire. It is able to move and you ...

RE: Re: RE: Real Gun Flashes - not always spectacular
after experimenting with muzzle flashes and comparing it to rel guns, the first thing that makes a fake gun look fake is the lack of ' communication' between the gun and the shooter. When firing a real gun, the recoil effect on the shooter is part of the whole experience as a viewer. that toghether ...

use gasoline and a m80 firecracker. it's dirtcheap, looks spectacular and it's dangerous enough to give you some evil anecdotes when you get famous later on.
