You can get a hold of these igniters at most hobby stores. Those should ignite your firecrackers for you...

What does living in England have to do with sticking fire works up your shirt? I've done it before, i've actually even lit a smoke bomb off when it was clenched between my teeth. If you're scared of fire works, then use an air compressor.

Is there anyway to possibly make parts of the uniform? Like paper mache the helmet or sew a vest or anything like that?

Its actually a zombie movie. I know, there's way to many of them, but I love zombies. lol. Basically I want the heroes of the movie to pour various fuels in the river then light up the river to burn some zombies.

I would use miniatures but the problem is making it realistic. Plus I also wanted to show some people get caught on fire, i'm not sure how to do miniatures for that.
