RE: Advice needed in making breakaway props.

W/ Balsa wood, keep tweezers handy for the almost inevitable splinter incident, and equip everyone nearby with safety glasses (Really cheap at home improvement stores)

RE: NOOOO!!!..wait..YES!!!...new hitman movie

Five Finger Discount? lol Just kidding.

I would just try and find people who need odd jobs done. Also, home-expansion projects are a veritable hotbed of loose money, so ask arround and see if you can pull nails or package up old drywall or something

cheap real guns = cheap fake guns
but this is not the case, as I can't remember a single good place from prop snub-noses

RE: Advice needed in making breakaway props.

If the shot is just of a guy taking a chair across the back, use Balsa wood if possible, and have him wear a few A-shirts beneath whatever else he's wearing. W/ the chair, I would recomend cutting halfway through the legs, then create a "Crumple Zone" on the legs by cutting a wedge shape p...

RE: Squibs.....on the ground

for the really REALLY cheap version, simply half-burry a board in the ground (Preferably sand) and have your actor stand on the un-burried part. It will lever over and throw the dirt on top of it into the air WARNING: Anyone who knows of this technique will be able to tell thats exactly how you did ...

Very good work. I too was wondering about your technique for getting both ambient sounds and the mortars. Also the sound from the clip on the Garand ejecting itself

RE: Vietnam weapons help???

1. True, but you might want a variety 2. See #1 3. 2 words: PVC Pipe 4. He probably means he wants both a M-72, and a LAW 5. I belive that it is the light machine gun used most by the VC. It looks somewhat like a large AK-47 with a box magazine. For the claymore, if you have the money, you could mak...

apparently, Morpheus has put on some weight and likes hanging out with balding guys. But really, when someone uses an effect like that, the "Clone" is usually the persons concience, so the shorter guy probably just lied to the taller guy, and his concience showed up and told him not to lie...

RE: Bren Gun

hmm... I'll have to think about this one. The body from the AK should work, with some modifications, which I will go into detail later, once I have looked over the two weapons side by side ::UPDATE:: Alright, first, I would move the mechanism that holds the magazine in to the top, and lengthen it ab...

if you know about a 3d program, I'd recomend building shell casings with that. If not, try the way Matt posted at the bottom of this page
