Re: HORRORS OF WAR on DVD in Japan

It stood proudly at the front of the shop in the 'New Releases' section for a week, and that doesn't happen to many non-mainstream movies.

Do you get any money from the film now? How is it doing sales-wise?

Faldor showed me the way when it comes to chromakey. Get Keylight for After Effects. It. Just. Works. http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/1377/22322565.jpg This is the original (captured from something that should be online in a couple of weeks time). http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/517/10771418.j...

Re: Oil Wars 2059 - Trailer

I love it! It's like Thunderbirds. Really nice style to it. I love minatures. What was the green screen problem? The green on the tanks mixing with the green background? Here's one for fact fans: Jason (of Guksack fame)'s uncle produced Moon . You will see a familiar Itallian-sounding surname on the...

Also, try it on a different TV. My bedroom TV quietens down at sudden loud noises

Does the original footage play through a TV ok?

The audio may be peaking beyond the TV's capabilities

It's raw footage with nothing added lay off the kid It's not laying in to him! Threads like this exist for critique, discussion and suggestion, not for praise (although that can be included!) I just thought it was a bit random to post up some blurry shots for no real reason, is all. Not slagging of...

I dunno, you get a nice expensive lens and shoot 90% of your film out of focus!

Looking good!

Well, to be fair there wasn't much to look at from those pics. But with the good equipment and what not it should be a good movie!

I usually keep the tripod in when doing handheld shots

It doesn't really work like a steadycam but certainly gives you steadier shots

Mini DV is the ONLY way to go.

Not only is it the best quality on the cheap, but you can get them for not much more than £150 these days in places like Currys

In your 'play by the Hollywood rules' world, maybe! I though the music choice was highly original and a genius choice!

As for the actual film, there wasn't much point in loading it here 'cus there isn't much else to comment on!

Welcome to the forum =) I personally wouldn't like the idea of recording to a hard drive camera. You'd probably have to take a laptop with you and keep exporting the footage on a long shoot Sony do a good range of HD cameras that record to tape or hard drive depending on the model that are between Â...

Don't think it helped that you used the 'famous' stock explosion, and then used it over and over again!

Nice attempt though and you could probably make it work to some effect

Cheers! Yeah I recently found an old 3D Studio file from Shosk that took a weekend to render on my old PC. Rendered it out again on my current PC (which isn't exactly amazing) and it took minutes. It helps that it was all rendered out to Video CD resolution mind!

Some audiences "get it" I noticed that on IMDB! It's a shame really, but it's the perfect film for me in terms of film making. I dream of making a film that's loved by some and hated by others. Quick question, did you ever see our Naughty Soldiers trailer from way back when? Different fil...

I hate having to create my shots from the raw by hand. Guess the fact that vagas splits everything as it captures has really spoiled me. While I can see you were learning as you went along, it wasn't bad! Bad points would be the long intro (which kinda works for a long Star Wars film but is just one massive bore when tagged on to a short film), and the way ships sped up and slowed down at the beginning and ends of shots. Oh, and the ...
