I'm getting 1gb of RAM this weekend to replace my 256mb of RAM. I have three slots so I was gonna keep the 256mb stick in there but I'm told that having RAM of varying speeds (the 500mb or whatever sticks are faster than the 256mb) can mess things up a bit Is it such a crime? LP doesn't do anything about the frame rate, it's to do with the speed that data is written to a tape

I don't mind using LP for holiday videos etc but I try not to use it. Apart from an extra half hour of recording time, that's about the only pro vs a whole list of cons

Yeah it would be nice to see a before/after. Because to us, that was just a very yellow video of some random dogs!

I use Windows Movie Maker for capture.

Sounds odd, but it's the only program I know that has never dropped frames in my experience
