haha cheers Ornsack, yep i made this out of some camera test shots we were doing (using different gain and exposure settings) for different lighting conditions... BUT then i realised, i could cut them together to make an abstract arthouse spoof lol, so long as i got some discorde piano music and a '...

Is there a real cinematographer even out there who whines about the lack of public 'appreciation'?

lol to be honest its usually just students calling themselves cinematographers (and not just cinematographers) that moan in general about lack of so called public appreciation.

RE: Another Slightly Controversial Discussion.

Well just a quick response, will give a more detailed one later. cinematographers are already very appreciated, in professional crew set ups they are the most highly paid of all the camera ops. Those full time cinematographers are earning more than almost any other technical crew member. Why is ther...

Kene trust me girls are not into the whole 'geeky teen director making star wars homages' angle - trust me. There would be a lot less agitated male teenagers in the world IF - IF that was true lol. I think some of you guys are being overly romantic about what the director is anyway - remember in the...

Thats a very peculiar opinion Gyro? Regarding Digi 8, Eseentially Digi 8 is DV where as Mini DV is well 'mini' dv on smallter tapes (that was how it was marketed.) In terms of technical specification they have identical bitstreams (and the digi 8 has other bits and bops of interesting note - check a...

Well I'll shoot it at 720p on the HVX200, and for costumes (yikes) i'll get some bits and bops together and hope for the best - ive got a few swords and maybe get some of the die cast metal flintlock pistol toy (the 1:1 scale ones.) I'd intend to make it professional but yeesh it'll be a challenge f...

They are plays they can be interpretated in any manner of ways, Richard III with Ian Mckellan (forgive any typos btw) was good, even Romeo with Di-Caprio was a decent adaptation - while historically set ones such as Polanski's macbeth are great etc etc. Normally i give long a...
