I can't see it anywhere. So sorry, maybe next time. Yeah, I have to admit, Rhys had his in on time, but it wasn't put on the Call for Entries thread - it was on its own. http://www.matthawkins.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10864 Posted on the 14th of July. But I must agree that this competition...

Right, welcome Dave! Guys, 213 is our scriptwriter for this project. He is our fx guy, and knows loads about masks, pneumatics, everything about zombies and Halloween. He also plays as this zombie on the left. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z173/Ryan3078/zombie5copy.jpg Edit* It looks likely tha...

Well, I thank you profusely for your help on the script. I personally am a videographer - not a scriptwriter - but I took your basic premise and have worked with it to make it work with our resources. What I have so far is the opening scene, when one zombie appears out of the bushes, then attacks th...

Defintely good comments, and we will totally take that into consideration for the rest of this movie. What you are commenting on is simply a scene from a half of the movie - so we are still working on the story and the movie as a whole. I am going to redo the dialogue, and try to add to the story. T...

where could you buy the latex masks?
I think they were on eBay or something, at any rate they were online and on sale - I think he got the 6 of them for $20, when they were originally $10-$20 each.

Great deals!

The only thing funnier than rhys is how terribly anti-rhys zacatac is for some reason.
I'm starting to notice that...

anyone catch this?
Oh, I caught it - my eyes hear things too.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. As for the sound, we had gusts of wind at maybe 40 kilometers per hour, so it was bad conditions for sound to begin with. We used the boom pole as best we could, but wind and distance from the actors created problems. Boat dialogue has been bumped up 20-25 dB. The actors...

I thought that last picture would have been a modified storage box to make a fog machine lay low fog. Have you ever seen one of those?
I have not. How can I make one of those, I could use one at my friend's haunted house this fall.

Ok, here's the first edit. I am trying to keep this quiet and under the radar, so this is for those willing to critique and offer advice, not just to watch. Go to my website and under projects there will be a link to the site where you can find the first edit clip.

Thanks!

But I'd like to see peoples effect setups, studios, etc...
A basement with a wall painted blue, costumes rack, and containers with effects lighting and props, etc.

Woefully unprofessional, but tidy, and it gets the job done!

No, that's more of the preview. It's more of a part of a part of the movie, so...whatever.

I'll delete the commentary, but just wanted to explain what was goin' on in the pictures so it wasn't just random chaos...

But I see where you're coming from. :D

Yeah, my friend (the scriptwriter for this) is the one who got everyone together. He gets all these kids to help out at his annual haunted house, so naturally they'd be into this sort of thing. And I've got enough luck to get me plenty of help filming. Some screenshots: http://i188.photobucket.com/a...

Deadly Waters - First Zombie Movie (pics)

Well, this is my first zombie film, so...yeah. The basic premise is that these guys are trying out some new fertilizer, and when they water the produce, the leftover water trickles into a drain, which leads to a lake... The contaminated water revives some dead guys in the lake from a mass suicide in...

I personally wouldn't - after the 15th, I've got one month until school. Add in one week for voting on the favorite script, and one week to get actors and equipment reserved, that's only 2 weeks until school to film and edit completely. Plus I've got some week long camp to go to August 5-10. So dela...

Is your editing computer connected to the 'net?

Just wondering - is YOUR editing computer open to possible viruses and stuff? Mine used to be, as it was the family computer, then I saved up for my own.

Sony A1U looked the nicest to me!
Yeah, I like it's image quality, but I love the XL2's depth of field. I will be using both for my main cameras...and the Panny for scenes in the water for my project...anyone know if using interlaced for the Canon will match up the fields for the others?

Mine is not too complex, really...a simple Dell that gets the job done, a TV monitor for external viewing, a DVD player for transferring DVDs, and a capture device. Multiple angles! http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z173/Ryan3078/desk3.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z173/Ryan3078/desk2.jpg ...
