Somebody should just make a camera that can record onto a 120+Gb hardrive bulit into the camera. That dosen't seem like such a bad idea.

DVD+R Camcorder

Does anybody own one of these Camcorders? I recently saw one on the cover of a technology magazine. They look freaking sweet!!

I currently have a Sony Hi8 XR camcorder and I want to upgrade. Should I wait for these to drop down in price? Are they worth the money?

I can't get it to work either.

Insane jumping.

In my next movie; I want to have a chacter that can jump 30+feet into the air, and make it look effortless and smooth. I know I can't shoot the shot on some sort-of a rig or cable system. The best idea I've come up with, is shoting the actor in front of a green-screen as he jumps. I would then slow ...

Make your camera static (not moving), and film your extras in diferent parts of the field (moving them from one side to the other). Once you have your clips of the extras in in multiple positions on the battle field; splice them together in post production. And then, create a artifical camera-zoom i...

I have the same problem.

I don't know how to set DV video in a 16X9 aspect ratio without stretching the pixels.

Does anybody know how to do this?

DV resolution and format.

In my next film, I want to edit it in the DV video format on my computer. I've never used the DV format before. (I don't own a digital camera, and all of my other films have been done in different formats eg.) I use Premiere 6.5 to edit my movies, and when I go to export some test footage to the Mic...

Paintball guns also work good for water shots as well. Here's what I do. Close range: I'd use a paintball gun for the close range effests. Long range: Depends on the shot, usally I'll a 3D graphics program for those. And once-in-a-while I'll use the baking soda and vinergar trick. I'm not sure if th...

It's for the Special FX's.

Adding CGI to a motionless shot, is much easier then adding them to a shot were the camera is bouncing up and down.

Post-Production Camera Shake?

Does anybody know how to create a realistic-looking camera shake in post-production?

I've tried using the motion mixer in Permiere 6.5; but, I could never get it to look right.

Any suggestions?

Surface Editor in Lightwave

Does anybody known how to set surfaces in Lightwave, so that they are 100% transparent; but they still block background CGI and allow your background image to be seen through the transparency? Thanks for the help with Lightwave!

The one 3DS file I was trying to import before, must have something wrong with it. I tried importing a new 3DS file today, and it worked!

Are there any other file formats Lightwave can import, other than .lwo and 3DS?

Lightwave Formats

As far as I know; Lightwave can only import .lwo objects.

I tried importing 3DS and 3Dmax objects, but lightwave dosen't allow you to.

There might be other formats Lightwave can import. But I'm not sure which ones, if any.
