RE: PAL, and NTSC

oh btw, what time of compromises. Its just so damn tempting! Purely because of the price. If there are any major problems, then i will definatley not even consider, but if its something like a lower resolution, i am sure i can live with that. I am desperate for a camera because i broke two in a matt...

solthar, may i ask, how do you add depth of field in pre production? Because on one of your vids at nccinema, you decribe on how to get your unique look on nightcast, then you mention that you add depth of field and i was wondering how you do it. Oh and i am looking forward to the film. Keep up the ...

PAL, and NTSC

Right. I live in good ol England and i am desperate for a new camera. Our format here is PAL, but i was wondering, if i were to get a NTSC cam, what would that stop me from doing? Would it only stop me from plugging the cam into my tv?

RE: car crash

What i would do: I would film two cars, one going one way, then another car going the opposite way, (keep the camera still), then mask the two shots together so it appears that the two cars are going straight head on into each other, wait until the two cars are right in the middle of the screen, the...

RE: Head decapitation

well i just started making a short which features something of a decapitation. The way i am going to do it is film the body react, then film the head sort of, acting to fall. I will then mask the head on to the body and key frame the head to fall. I will show you the results as soon as i have finish...

RE: Re: RE: McDonalds

ooo i have a story. When i was working in macdonalds, this mother and son (both rather big) ordered a quarter pounder. About 5-10 minutes later, the mum came back up to the counter and said to me, " excuse me, this burger is raw". I had a look, and right enough, all the meat inside the bur...

Yeh, like i said, my handy work is absolute shite, so it isn't the best crane in the world, but i think the camera movements are a lot smoother in this video : Edit: Here is something i filmed yesterday. i was actually saying aliens of the top of my head, hence the question mark. I had no intention of 'imitating' a weapon that has already featured in great films such as the mummy. I am really, really, really sorry. (really)

Yeh, i will when i have time. It is rather shoddy and not the top of the line, but y'know, it gets the job done! There are many tutorials on the web, just search. I didn't actually follow one myself, but sorta looked at other peoples designs and hoped for the best....

Yeh it looks good, and interesting. I saw a very similar thing on TV, dealing with the fans of Star Trek.

It does look really good, and i will hopefully see the full thing soon.
