Gess not. I was thinking about this again, and relised that the best place to save money is in your script. I look at all the cr** I and my friends have then get an idea, plan out like three money shots, then give it a small budget, that is non-nigotshalble. Life the film I'm working on now is $200 ...

prostitution. No really beg barrow and steal. I can't say much because I'm super low budget. What I can say is a tip that Keven Smith has said a few times, and somthing I will end up trying at some point. Get a few credit cards and max them all out. Not safe, but all I can think of. Also look for ch...

To make the dry wall weeker you could, on the side not on camera, cut it out almost all the way, just leaving about half of the inside matereal, so that it is extremly weak, but so you still get the dust and the look. And what i would do if you think it woun't look great, pump in some drywall dust, ...

We don't need them much, if they are involved in the filming porsses, then they are less impressed when you show them off later, and it makes us look better. Ok this work work only with chicks that do action movies, but hey. But the lack of female film makers, extends beyond just what we do, look at...

I am trying to get a much smaller explotion that what I have seen, here, I want to blow up a bunch of those plastic army men, so that I have a big battle effect. As for napalm I was going to use that no soap hand stuff, because it burns like crazy. But i want to blow a tank up, maybe get it to fly i...

Tape a hose to the off camera side of the knife, and as you are running it across the hand have somebody off cam or the actor, depends on the shoot, squese it out. You can get a good effect with this, I have seen it done in many Boy Scout ceremonys.

call me old fashoned but couldn't you just shake the camera in production, get a real camera shake, do a take with and a take with out incase you screw it up. Don't do in post what you can do in cam.

another resion that I think girls don't do this is because we are all crazy, and girls, tend to be crazy in a diffrent way, more anal like, not nuts, like us.

I've had margenal secsess getting girls in my films, as long as it does not involve action or to much gore. It seems you say that and they leave real fast. Some how I also think it is the types of films we are making, testoterone pumped action movies, no chick flicks, but I could be wrong.

he is right about tastfulness. I would go and get some of that makeup putty, whos name is escaping me, and mold it into the shape of a small wound, (Little crator) then attach it to the head with sprit gum, then cover that sucker with blood. As much as I dilike ciggerets, you could plat them over the actor, that might not be that safe but would look cool. Or you could use some forced persective, and build a small fire, but that would really only work if you wanted a lot of smoke. What about shooting the smoke sepretly, then placing it o...

On the subject of final cut pro, it is over rated junk. I worked with it at a film camp last summer, and was totally unimpressed, after it crashed three times, and made me rinder, before it could do anything. The adobie, sweet (Premere after affects, and photo shop) are much better and in the end ch...

reverse motion, Premere does it also Sonic foundry's Vagas Video dese it, but will run you $500, still worth the cash. For questions 2&4 look around this site, it is a tresure trove of cool stuff, and effects, I can't wait to start my gun filled film, once I finish my sword one. As for the light...

if you can find some of those colored contact lisses, non perscription of course, you could give the vamps red or yellowish eyes that could also help set them apart.
