Yikes!!! My arm! Where did it go???

I would stay with plastic swords always. Whenever you see a movie like Pirates of the Caribbean, the clanks are Always dubbed. Be safe!

Easiest way is to just record yourself making a whoosh sound and tweak it around in something like adobe audigy, or even something simple like windows sound recorder! Or record a belt being swung very fast. Experiment. :)

Pretty much, if you change the extentions between mpeg, avi, and wmv, it is all the same thing most of the time. You can view the same file under different ext just as long as the compression is right.

Actually, I really like the setup for video adjustments and the export to Dvd feature. What really bothers me is that I can't seem to figure out how to capture in stop motion. I am starting to think they omitted my favorite feature! Pro is not as easy to use as 6.0, seems like they intentionally mad...

If your car battery dies, whatever you do, don't go down the line of cars using up everyone's power. Haha! Jumper cables won't help you there! :)

You have to use LOTS of light for night shots. Simply boosting up your exposure will get you that commando spec ops look.

Amazing indeed. Just spend a lot of time playing around with it and you will learn much! 3ds max is by far much better, but you can't beat free! Let us know when you start putting out that quality of films... ;)

For night shots: In actuality, there are much harsher shadows at night than there are during day. The trick is to make them look like they are not coming from the sun. Considering budget, do your best to avoid capturing shadows, then highly overlight your subject under a small exposure setting so th...

I am a composer of music, muahaha! I would have to say that cakewalk is the most powerful in orchestral creation. That's just my opinion. But hey, it's good stuff! If you want to just write sheet music professionally and put out midi work, Finale by Coda music is the best. If you are going for all t...

In premiere pro, just click the button that says "reverse speed." Slow motion, just alter the percentage under the menu, speed/duration (Ctrl+R)

If you want Real limbs and guts, just visit a chinese resturant and offer to take their meat garbage from the kitchen. It might be a bit gross, but you can't do better than real!

Personally, I would stick with the dog toys!

Do post a clip of it when finished. I would love to see it! :)

Originally posted by Ornsack In Premiere 5.1 you deinterlace by right clicking footage, selecting 'frame options', and then 'fields'. That is the way you deinterlace footage in every Premiere version. Except in pro, you have to go to the top menu, but you end up in the same place, anyhow. Go to vid...

I have Premiere 6.0 as well as Pro. I still like 6.0 better for some things. You can create a wmv file in premiere, except it is a little tricky. One way for sure is just to afjust the settings to export it as an avi. movie. But before you save it, change the save as file name extention to .wmv. It ...

That is pretty good to have a camera that survives a waterfall. It's not the water that bothers me, only what it might look like after the grand fall to the bottom. It's nice to have a good quality camera.

It really sorta depends on how you learn. I personally learn almost everything new throught trial and error. If you learn through reading the manual and doing only what is necessary, then that is your way. I am still learning things in 3ds max too. I do use tutorials and manual references, but I lik...

In Premiere, you can add a ghastly effect to the footage. I would just screen it. A glow effect would work great. If anything, it would just hide the key lines separating your object from the screen.

This is a neat invisible man effect. I don't think I will ever use it, but still neat.

Lighting a trail of gas can be very dangerous. You cannot predict how it will react when lit. Suppose it burns up quickly and detonates itself in your face? You won't have a face then. Just search google images for people whom have blown themselves apart. Maybe that enforce you to realize the harshn...
