RE: Artificial gun recoil

Hey that was pretty good. You know its kinda wierd, but I 've not done a single gun-recoil-shell thing with Adobe Photoshop before. I never really bothered. How exactly do you do it? Care to share with me? I would be most grateful.

why do you guys use the word bloke?
If I'm not mistaken (Correct me if I'm wrong), Bloke is British terminology for 'guy' or 'person'. Although in the official definition of Bloke has negative conotations. (i.e. Dirty Man) or something along those lines.

Of course I do. I use Adobe Primere but it always exports as raw AVI which is between 5 - 10 GB for a 30 min film. Windows Movie Maker can compress but it ends up as WMV and the file quality is horrendously, drastically reduced.

RE: Slasher Bloke ideas

p*** of with the world would be the easiest rationale. Well, you dont really need a good reason in slasher flicks. Traditional freddy/jason movies dont give the monsters any particular reason for killing apart from...Revenge....

Haha yeah its worth it. You could try hosting on www.youtube.com or Google Video (Slow but most reliable I think). So is this your first project apart from church videos? If it is, I'll definately say that I'm extremelly impressed. Will buy a DVD or sounds from you anyday! =P

EFFECTIVE VIDEO COMPRESSOR

I apologize if this topic has already been discussed but i was wondering. Does anyone know of an effective avi. compressor? In raw DV AVI, our file is huge - At least 6-8 GB. Is there anyway I can compress it down but retain all (or most of) the original quality as if it were uncompressed avi? For e...

RE: Slasher Bloke ideas

To be practical, I think most killers would just use a normal ski mask to hide their face. Thats much more practical that wearing some fancy getup. Then again, in a movie I suppose ski masks are too plain. In my upcoming film, the serial killer is a pragmatic guy so he uses whatevers available - Ski...

Avi. files work in everything you mentioned above. What you need to do is download the XVid Codec. Go to google and type 'XVid Codec'. Download it and it should work perfectly fine. Btw great shots and cinematography you have in all your shorts. Really loved duel. The colors and atmosphere is just s...

RE: Re: RE: A Walk in the Light Green Trailer

Probably putfiles usual unrealiability. Well from what I saw, I thought it was seriously AWESOME. $250 external funding? Thats very small support. How much did you guys pay altogether? The film looks as if it costs at least $5,000. Just wondering, what are you guys gonna' do with this film? Festival...

RE: A Walk in the Light Green Trailer

Yeah the music suits. Requim for a Dream. I prefer the LOTR version though. I used to use it for my old trailers before we got a composer. 'Chant' from Black Hawk Down works also. Anyway, the trailer itself looks awesome. Its quite short, to say the least, but from what I can tell, it appears very g...

Angles, angles, angles. If its good, no one will know. All you'll hear are 'Wow how did you get so many extras?' I'm my personal opinion, I'd rather employ live re-used extras rather than newspaper just in case. Having them not move is easier than stuffing a hell lot of cloth which may or may not tu...

We really only kicked the Italians and Japs a** by the time we got to Europe Actually the Japs only got owned by the atomic bomb AFTER both Italy and Germany were defeated. In fact, even though the Japs were losing on virtually all fronts, they refused to surrender and wanted to fight to the death ...
