" cant believe how much i, and the movies have changed."

No offense, but I don't really see much of a change in the effects and your more current "training films."

Why, if you added gunshot SFX, did you leave out fight SFX? Those could have helped.

I watched the vid again and listened to the sound effects. Pretty lame. I can tell that you either "spoke" them while filming or recorded them for some reason. Fight SFX are pretty easy to access. They'd add a nice touch to the movie.

That was pretty cool. A little more work on the editing would have been good. I liked the little girl on the trampoline, hope that was intentional. I went on your site too and had the same question as britishbulldog, what the hell was the israeli army doing in England? GOd save the queen, or, where ...

RE: Training / Shooting Short Film

I agree with Headless Duck. Needs a lot of work. Also, I thought that shooting the bunny was a little lame. It could look good with some editing, though. Keep working!

I liked it. If you edit out the part where the actor jumps on the lever (I think) it will look awesome.

Baseball

In the movie I'm making, one of the characters gets hit in the side of the head around the temple with a baseball. I was thinking of a styrofoam ball, but the shot of the ball hitting will probably be in slow motion, so it wouldn't have the same effect. Any ideas?

Probably a timpani. I'm a drummer and a bass drum wouldn't do the trick.

I also liked the silent film. I have a few tips though, first, Comic Sans isn't that good a font choice. Also, try to get the high shot on top of the car from an angle where light is not reflected, becasue the camera and tripod can be easily seen. Was that shot of the spinners on an RC car? Ha, nice...

Thanks. Also, I'm trying to think of a way to make it look like the bullets are being fed through the gun. All I've come up with is cutting a rectangular hole that passes through the gun and having a person lay down inside the machine gun position or off camera who pulls the belt through. Any other ...

RE: New film. help please

Does your friend have a "good" name? Often times when I am thinking of characters' names I choose from my friends or from random names that I find in newspaper articles. I don't know about you, but having a generic name bugs the hell out of me. As for the voice, I agree with ctbullet. Have...

Ammo Belt

I'm almost finished building a Vickers machine gun prop and was stumped on what to make the ammo belt out of. I was wondering if there was anything that I could find around the house or buy for EXTREMELY cheap (this project is no budget; the gun is made out of a shoe box, some PVC pipe, scrap metal,...

Um, maybe a blue background, transparent if possible, and black, government-looking text boxes, as well as a box for a photo. Thanks!

I really like it. Good improvements. Pam was seen a lot more and the transition between 'good Jim' and 'bad Jim' is much more defined. Nice job. I'd love to see the movie. So keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel!

I like the ideas. I prefer the second one and have another idea to suggest. If you want America to get envolved, maybe the Enola Gay gets shot down before it reaches Hiroshima or Nagisaki, changing the tide of the war.

Do you want the updated script? It's got some minor changes, mostly technical.

Eclipse mints are good. Also, you could probably crush up some Altoids for a cocaine look, or use flour like they did in MTL.
