I'd definitely develop the story more. Seems a bit unoriginal in the short summary you've given. The movie would have the potential of capturing the horror of being alone behind enemy lines, but a few other movies popped into my head after reading it. Again, if you develop it more, it could turn out...

I think it's a great idea. But why do the brothers separate if they are best friends. Work on their relationship, maybe add in an argument. Nice idea!

So masking is the only effect? There is no way to darken one section of the screen and then darken the other parts in a sequence?

That would be kind of difficult. It's an office building for the University of California and we're bringing pror guns in. That'll be difficult enough. Negotiating with whoever works there to shut off the lights might get difficult. I'm sort of looking for an effect, if any, that I could do in final...

Lights Shutting Off

There's a scene in my movie that takes place in an office building. One man is being taken to a holding cell and just after he rounds a corner, the lights shut off. Is there a way I could edit it so that the lights go off in a sequence, not just all at once?

Camera box attached to car

There's a tutorial on the site for a camera box that attaches to the side of the car but I didn't really want to build the box out of wood. Would it be possible with something such as a cardboard box? And, if it is possible, is it safe? Thanks!

The first one is right. The canister gets strapped on top of his gun so it creates a cloud in front of him as he fires. Thanks for the tip.

How do I make a tear gas canister?

I'm working on a movie and there's a scene that takes place in an elevator. The character must exit the elevator but knows that there are guards waiting on every floor. He takes a canister of tear gas from a dead guard's utility belt (he kills two guards in the elevator beforehand) and ties the cani...
