Yeah, books about film making are nice help occasionally. Just don't make the mistake of LIVING by the guidelines in those books. If you study the technical aspects too hard, it will take focus out of your artistic vision which is by far more important. Your ideas and your vision is what keep you mo...

The only thing that was truly bad about your Matrix film, besides the fact that it was yet another parody film, was the acting. It seems like you at least tried with angles and directing, yes you have things to learn, but I can tell you put effort into it. What hurt you was how your actors have no e...

RE: Re: RE: Burnt Pentagram In Skin?

eh. Lets not rip on Rhys too much for awhile. Enough is enough. But, as for the pentagram. That rigid collidon sounds intriguing, id like to get my hands on some and see what effects i could design with it. Another possibility is to get some actual fake skin or very thick liquid latex. And after its...

Damn good. I really enjoyed it. Most compliments and criticisms have been said. The acting did slump in a few spots, some of the actors didn't emphasize meaningful lines like they should have. I enjoyed the music and the story very much so. The whole film was overall quite good. It was very refreshi...

RE: Re: Brawl/Bar fight

Real life fights are grapples and punches. Occasionally a mean person (someone like me) would throw in a kick. But head locks and punches and elbows, no fancy blocks, not even boxing styles usually. We're talking about a couple of average joes drunk or sober who don't know any fantastic Kung Fu figh...

Haha. That was pretty good. Nice lil slapstick flick. Some parts were a little too goofy though, un neccessarily. Like the slipping on the banana peel, eh, too forced. But i liked a lot of it. And i dont know why that girl scream made me laugh so hard, but it did. lol. Good stuff.

RE: Script Formatting

at the beginning of every scene it needs to say either EXT. (exterior) or INT. (interior) then either DAY, NIGHT, DUSK, MORNING so on. Just the time of day. then a dash. Then the location. Action descriptions and Dialogue should be pretty self explanatory. FADES or CUTS will be in the lower right ha...

If you wanna be a lil different and more original, i say the batons. A fight scene could be much longer and more intense, because it would take a lot more than one hit from a baton to kill someone. Some cool blocks and choreograhping could come out of that.

A good, realistic assasin/hitman movie would be, "Collateral" and "The Professional". Check those out for some ideas.

hahaha cool. Rhys can be a hired goon. That could useful. You do have all those crazy weapons lol. About the pool table shot.....go hustle up a poolshark for a few bucks at a bar somewhere. The only feasible way to pull that off is to do it for real. With so much motion to worry about, any little mi...

Syriana has a PAINFUL scene of finger nails being removed with plyers. A perfect example of not blatantly showing violence, but more suggesting it. You hear it pulling, you see his face going through pain, then you see the man tossing away the nail. To watch it....HURTS.

Damn, 5 min...you have high expectations. I usually wait three days for any replies to scripts i post....lazy, lazy people. But anyways. Is that all one trailer? or is it several? If its several, than theyre ok except for music choice and the amount of times you show that explosion. The music isnt s...

I want to see some good gore, i watched someone put a finger into bullet holes or some medical show, but i didnt get grossed out. Someone falls down, someone else stabs a shovel into their mouth and pops the top of their head off. Watch the "Day of the Dead" dvd, itll show you basically how to do that.

Everything has pretty much been said, but i couldnt get ANY of the story, all of the characters were talking so quietly. The way they said their lines sounded like there wasnt a real script, just improvising with a guideline. Which NEVER works unless you are a very talented actor. Next time, plan th...

RE: Re: RE: THE CALL - PLEASE VIEW AND COMMENT NOW! UPLOADED

That became really hard to watch. The cuts were so quick, you didnt have to time really look at or take in much. I wish i could sound nicer, but it was alot of nothing...repeated over and over. The whole film was something you could have shown, told us the story, in 35 seconds. You stretched it out ...
