Sooo.. some updates, well kene555, you're awesome, thanks so much for helping me with this... lol i have some bits and pieces of the script, alot thanks to KultFilms... ive now thought about it, and instead of a serious Pirate movie, im heading towards the POTC humor, i mean the awkward situational ...

for the longest time i wanted to do sound, but then i realized sound dealt with math too much... and i was good at getting actors to do what i wanted... so i went that way

yeah it is... the best i can get right now is a test shot, a blank ocean plate, horizontal, just to test how good the CGI looks on it

i am able to bring it into blender now, and i read that you can use blender to break it up... but my problem is when i bring it into blender, there are no texture, and i suck at texturing...

i'm relatively handy with blender

hey, kene those look awesome... are you able to work in the bones of the structure and bend them? like maybe having the masts falling down, ropes breaking? the last image ^^ thatnwould be awesome for the way the ship goes down, a 20 second animation would be aweomse, but for the camera angle, try se...

i'd love to shoot the winning script... jk jk...

but that would be cool, have 2 competitions, one writing the script, then a seperate competition having to film your script... it may sway the voters to like a movie when the thought the script was wacked

beat means a pause or a second, but in film it can mean anything timed... an emotional beat it not the same timing as an action beat... it all depends on the mood, you'll be able to tell when or what the beat it

i love telling people what to do, i can tell them the emotion i want, i can get it outta them, i have an awesome cinematographer who loves me as a director... people know me as a director

yeah, i know 3d, it sucks with rendering, when i had my illegal copy of Lightwave, i spent days rendering... but now ive gone legal.. i like the shots... but i mean i don't know it its the model or Bryce... it still give that 3d look to it... try a different lighting setup, it may help... and yeah i...

Well I'll shoot it at 720p on the HVX200, and for costumes (yikes) i'll get some bits and bops together and hope for the best - ive got a few swords and maybe get some of the die cast metal flintlock pistol toy (the 1:1 scale ones.) I'd intend to make it professional but yeesh it'll be a challenge ...

yeah, for the sails extended one... try and give it a dark brown unsanded look, if possible

yeah, ok well that model in the pic you just posted looks good for a pirate ship.. do you have that one? I mean after dirtying up the textures it would look awesome

Thats what im working on right now, and before you say i'm a moron, i know what im doing, i have an authentic Pirate Long boat, like the row boat they all have on the ships... its painted, so i'll need to sand it off, i have 2 motorboats to film the Sea Sequence, i have a deserted island i'm allowed...
