err buy a smaller net!
The net he has is fine size-wise. He just needs to spray paint it dark green.

Often times they would use British webbing. It was smaller and occasionally did not fit.

how so? it's just an M-1 steel pot helmet with a medic insignia on it.
Must be the way the light is hitting it. The brim looks a bit too big, after close inspection I think it is the light.
as far as I can tell, it's way too big. Needs smaller holes.
They had helmet nets with holes that big.

For the record, I'd have to say DeadLogic's uniform looks more authentic, cept the helmet is kind of... "funny."

I tend to just put in the still image of the flash, but I've been experimenting with lighting up the surrounding area. I light it with AE.

A number of reasons. The book cover is just wrong; it's obviously just placed upside down with Photoshop. It's easier if you see the entire photo. http://snopes.com/photos/graphics/bush2.jpg As for the binocs, it isn't so much fake as it is bad timing. http://snopes.com/photos/graphics/binoc6.jpg an...

WRONG! It is $35 for only the main haversack. The pack carriers and meat can pouches are separate. Therefore giving you a grand total of $55 for a complete set. Well, you don't really need a pack carrier, so you'd only be looking at $45. You can also use M1910 Haversacks, as men did sometimes, and ...

Try more like $50-70 for a complete set like that on eBay. I try all the time and never get them under $50. Then add shipping atop that. Go to Stan's site then. Complete set for $35 plus S+H. As for the dummy, leave the shirt untucked. They didn't tuck their tops in. Other than that it looks fine.

Yeah, I know the gear was the same, I'm saying they changed the dye color of all web gear during the course of the war.
Not many though. Even late war, only about 10-15% of the guys would have green.

The only think in that pic that looks photoshopped is the Swastika on the guy's hat. And the hair and the mustache During the normandy campaign, uniforms for the 101st airborne were a kakhi color. During the holland campaign, they were more of an olive drab color. During the Normandy campaign, they...

Either late war though depending on the buckles it could be Vietnam-era.
WTF is that pic!?!?!??!!?!??!
It's a badly photoshopped picture of a race car driver to look like Hitler.

If you can find a good deal on WWII boots, get them. They're the most expensive item.

Other than that, it's always good to have field gear and uniforms.

Just make sure you buy the right stuff! :P
