I agree Dave! I use a black keyboard, doesn't bother my eyes one bit. (I actually have many different computers, and to be honest, I'm finding that I like the black ones better!) It's a stupid point that I certainly do not agree with, especially having worked as a health and safety consultant coveri...

Yes it is. Look at it this way: you have been using a PC for a long time, which has tangled and contorted your mind into a PC way of thinking, like a ball of spaghetti. Now when you use a mac you need to untangle your mind. Uh, yeah. Just a couple of things: I prefer the the fact that Apple has a f...

I have 5 computers on a LAN, and access to the internet is firewalled through a dual WAN router, which manages the 20MB cable broadband and 8MB copper wire (phone) broadband. We have a strict policy regarding downloading and running unauthorised software, and also ensure that all software is fully l...

I've downloaded so many of these its sick, does anyone know of one that actually works? I now use Xara Xtreme Pro . I've got to like it so much, I don't use Adobe Illustrator any more, and rarely ever use CorelDRAW. There's also some good easy-to-follow video tutorials to show you how to do things ...

Flash eh! That's got me interested. I've seen a few packages such as Camtasia Studio that convert to Flash - so this is something I could obviously do myself. Good top on the buuffering time. I have a particular enquiry I'm following at the moment, and the customer is in Mexico. Loads of people in M...

Render for web - What are the best settings?
I'm probably going to need to start providing some of my customers dowloadable video from their websites. They will provide the video probably in DVD, so what's the best way of getting it to the web? Is it best to stream, download for viewing, or what? What's the best quality vs. smallest file size?...

Aren't there Mac Vs PC rules on this forum, or was that just something Camclub came up with? :) Either way, it's getting old! You're right, it was something I just came up with, because I couldn't stand losing arguements against PCs. I still won't go to Macs though. I'm happy with my PCs, and it'll...

If in doubt, just get a PCI ultra ATA controller card. You could probably pick up one from somewhere like CompUSA for about $20. That sorts out the compatibility problem, and lets you keep your existing drive for storage if you want.
