The guy was posting at http://www.HDVinfo.net forum, so I went on the site and clicked on a few links, signed up, went to the download page, and started downloading all of the clips. Yeah, I didn't get my E-Mail right away. It takes some time.

Get "Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5." Then go to http://www.adobe.com and download the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Update. It's pretty much a HDV plug in. It lets you edit HDV with Premiere Pro. Then if you want, you can get Cineform Aspect 3.3 for Premiere Pro. It's another plug in that lets you edi...

That lower end model you're talking about is the Sony HDR-HC1. It has 1 1/3" CMOS chip instead of a CCD. I downloaded some movie clips that the Sony HDR-HC1 recorded in HDV mode, and the video quality looks awesome! And the good news is that I might get it for Christmas.

Yeah, I'm not going pay Best Buy like $50 to do something I can do in less than 1 minute for free. After I install it, I'm going to go online and download the latest drivers for it.

No it's the old PCI slots. PCI 2.0. But I think it would still work pretty good.

ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI Graphics Card

I'm going to be getting a ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI Graphics Card after I get my 512MB of RAM. Your probably asking why PCI? Why not AGP? My motherboard doesn't have a AGP slot. But it does have a PCI slot. So I want to get this. 1. Has anybody used this? 2. Right now I have a 64MB graphics card tha...

RAM

I'm going to buy more RAM soon. Right now, I have 512MB of RAM. But it only shows 504MB on my computer. Anyway, I'm going to get 512 more. 1. Will I notice a difference in the performance of my computer right away? 2. Will Rendering/Encoding files go much faster? 3. Will Editing software work much f...

The chemicals come in 2 different bottles for safe shipping. I don't think you need a license for it if it's for private use. If it's for public use, then I think you need a license.

Like I said, I'm going to be mixing it using small amounts (50-100mg [Milligrams]) to minimize big accidents. So if anything were to happen, it would'nt be the whole bottle blowing up in my face. Oh yeah, I'm defianty going to be using googles and buy some "Static Guard" to minimize the po...

I'm going to buy some Newco Flash Powder from this online store. http://www.hauntquarters.com/hauntquarters/index.cfm?Page=products&Nav=products&Category=2400&Sub_Category=2450&Product_Number=IA36 I'm going to be using it for my homemade squibs. I know that it's very sensitive. (Pres...

OK. Here's the second video. File Type - WMV Size - 2.49 MB Length - 0:09 http://uploadhut.com/view.php/266919.wmv I left the cut off fuses of the firecracker in the tube. The powder was a mix of mostly black powder and some firecracker powder. I compressed the powder as much as I could. Still it's ...

A car battery will make the igniter light much faster. But the firecracker wick still has to ignite. And that will be a 1-2 second delay. That's why I'm trying to make my own squibs. So it goes off right away. Also, the video of the firecracker I made last night will be up here in about 2 hours.

I made another one. I mixed the black powder with the firecracker powder. I also left the cut off wicks in the tube with the powder. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Also, I'm running out of Estes Model Rocket Igniters. They are really expensive. I'm thinking of making my own igniters. Anybody know ...

Bad news. It didn't work. The powder in Black Cat firecrackers just doesn't light. So I used black powder instead of the firecracker powder. It worked, but not so good. The Kraft Paper I used didn't even go into peices like firecrackers. It wasn't powerful, and there was a lot of smoke. (Well, it's ...

I just made two of them. I also made a nailboard, and bought some wire at The Home Depot. All I need is a car battery, or maybe a motorcycle battery. (More Compact.) I'll be recording them detonating tomorrow so you can all see. P.S. I didn't use super glue to glue the ends. I used a hot glue gun li...

I was thinking of becoming one. But how long does it take to become one? It would be a lot cheaper to get pyrotechnics for my movies. (Don't have to hire anyone.) It'll be something I'll look into in the future.

Making Squibs With Igniters Inside Of Firecrackers

I wanted to test something out. I would like to make my own squibs. (The actual firecracker like explosive charge.) Here's how I would make it. 1. First, I would get "Kraft Paper" and roll a tube that is 1 1/2 Inches long. (Same as a standard firecracker.) 2. Then I would put some Scotch T...

I was just looking at the Google Video Uploader. I guess I'll only upload just my movies there, not test clips like these. So I guess you'll have to wait until Microtech is back up and running to watch the test clip. Or if you really want to see it, I'll just E-Mail it to you.

Microtech seems to be down. I'll try to upload the video to that Google Video Uploader. I still have to take the pictures for the squib tutorial. Sometime next week.

It's so funny how Hollywood does muzzle flashes. When I want to the shooting range with my dad, I shot his Sterling Model 300 chambered in .25 ACP. There was a muzzle flash, but it was small. I would record me shooting the guns, but the range I go to won't let you record or take pictures in the rang...

I can only ignite 1 squib at a time. I use a model rocket control pannel. I have a bunch of 36 gauge nichrome wire that I can use as igniters. The only thing is I want is to rig up a nail board so I can ignite more than 1 squib at a time. Whenever I do this, I'll record it and put it up. I don't thi...
