I just checked the prices of the 2, they are both very close to $1,400. Well, actually, the HC1 is discontinued in the U.S. If it's the HC3 you want, go ahead. It's just if you want external audio, you're gonna have to get a DAT recorder, then sync it up in post. I'm sure there's a underwater case f...

The HDR-HC3 is the more consumer of the 2. Go for the HDR-HC1. That's what I have. The HC1 has a mic out jack, (so you could get external microphones) the HC3 does not have one. The video quality of the HC1 is also much better. Go for the HC1. It could probably be found much cheaper too. Check this ...

Buy bottles/glasses at Alfonso's Breakaway Glass. They supply all of the major hollywood movies, like the Cyberdyne Systems shootout at the end of Terminator 2. Check them out. I'm definently going to buy from them for my movie this summer.

I have a Sony HDR-HC1, which is HDV. I highly recommend it. I've never used a 3 CCD camcorder before, but the quality of my camcorder is awesome. It doesn't use a CCD, it uses a CMOS sensor. The video looks the best when you have a lot of light. The price is very low right now. I bought it when it w...

I just recently got a Ruger P97DC. It shoots .45 ACP ammo. I love it! It's so acurate! Anyway, when I went to the range, the shells hit me in the forehead a couple of times. It wasn't that bad, but I think it's always a good idea to wear goggles when shooting. It would not feel good to get hit in th...

Check out the Sony HDR-HC1. It's a HDV camcorder. It doesn't have 3 CCD's, it has 1 CMOS chip. I got this about a half a year ago and love it! Just save up another couple hundred dollars to get it. It can be found for around $1,800. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/U...

Bad IDE Port
I think my secondary IDE port is bad. So I'm thinking about buying a IDE to SATA adapter for my hard drive. I would connect my hard drive to 1 of the 2 SATA ports I have on my motherboard, and my 2 disk drive to the primary IDE port. The secondary IDE port doesn't work like I said. But when I connec...

I know your on a tight budget, but I would save up and get a good microphone. Right now I'm broke, and I need a microphone for my movies. I'm going to be saving up $1000 for a microphone kit I saw on eBay. (Sennheiser ME66, wired boom pole, windscreen, ect...) Sound is 70% of a movie. You could have...

Last night I took the DVD-ROM drive out and replaced it with the DVD-R/RW drive. It works. I think that the secondary IDE port is broken. It's a new motherboard. I tried to update the IDE drivers. I'll try installing the DVD-ROM drive again tonight. I'm just going to keep the DVD-R/RW drive in there...

Go with that Dell LCD screen. Have you noticed the resolution? 1920x1200. If you ever go HD, this monitor will display your 1080i/p video natively. But make sure you get a good graphics card that has a resolution that high. (1920x1080) Also, don't pay $1,199.00 for it. You can get one brand new off ...
