RE: How many DV Tapes do you have?

I couldn't vote because I own less than a dozen tapes. I don't see the reason for having so many... it doesn't really make you more of a filmmaker or anything. Just capture the footage to a harddrive and reuse them. How many tapes can one possibly go through in a session, or even in a whole weekend?...

What really bothers me is the end with the heads centered in the frame and we see more clouds than characters.

RE: Dual Boot?

I've started playing with Final Cut Pro lately. I don't see how one can make such generic comparisons, and say one's just better than the other. From My experience, both programs can do almost the exact same things. You just need more experience in one or the other. Also, Windows and MAC are operati...

Try increasing the gamma correction. Premiere allows you to tweak the exposure levels and color/intensity levels too.

RE: thankyou

Nice work. A ouple criticisms... The sounds you used for the ricochets are when the bullet spins out away, and could not happen inside the confinement of the house. ;) Also, when the gun moves, the ejected casings do not travel with it. So it looks like the brass keeps appearing from the same point ...

RE: filming with pro cameras

Big cameras are fun to play with. I have some experience operating a Ikegami HL-45 digital camera for our school's broadcasted show, which is recorded live to tape. Once you get used to the basic functions, which involves some practice, then your mind is free to focus on more important things like f...

It was a good attempt. I thought the meteor iteself and the smoke trail looked pretty convincing, but after the buildup the explosion wasn't as impressive. The flash lasted too long and the fire was a little hoaky. The blast should be qiuck and maily smoke. Keep up the good work. Haha, very nice, Or...

It is difficult to compare consumer cameras, because the normal consumer wants things like touch screens, sepia color tone, and picture mode... A serious filmmaker likes manual controls and quality footage.

That's bogus and you know it! All the major animation programs have the potential to look realistic. There is no "correct" program; it is preference.
