Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Filming at night
at the very least, three-point lighting Actually, when shooting at night, three point lighting probably isn't the best solution. The shadows are much more apparent at night, and should be rich. Your best bet will probably be to neglect using a fill, using a soft, diffused key, and a strong backligh...

wait what about after effects? I have AE and Premiere but I've never used AE for keying before. I've heard it's much better but from the way you've stated it, it sounds as if I can have a poorly lighted screen and still be able to key it out with ease? No, no matter what you use to key, lighting is...

Be careful of the arrangement you play LOL, even though the original score is PD, if it was an arrangement done by someone else, of Mozart's work, there may well still be a valid copyright on that arrangement...OutcastJiob wrote:No. Mozart's work is generally considered public domain now. . . . .

RE: Clip Exporting Problem - Premiere
Are you exporting the clip from the timeline or from the bin? you need to select the work area in the timeline before exporting, if the clip in the bin is still highlighted, then you are exporting the original clip without the effects.

Welll, yeah, if I had a couple hundred K hanging around LOL.... I shoot mostly for television though so I tend to consider a clean video look as the most important.

Next on my hit list is a Sony DSR-400 or something in that family. Or into the lower end Panny DVCPro format. I would prefer to get something DVCPro50, but have to check compatibility witht he local TV stations for formats on Pro50. XL2 is as close as Cannon comes to producing a Pro camera, and it i...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Good Camcorder
Why don't you buy a HDV camera then? Soon they are going to be standard and all miniDV Camera will become obsolete, no matter how expensive they where. With HDV you can downsample the format to NTSC Size in 4:4:4 Format! So you will be able to do decent chroma-keying. But make shure to read about t...

I would e-mail the person and ask for what EXACTLY you get for the stated price of $XXX.XX. Some dealers are quite sneaky and the cheap price is only for the camcorder, itself, whereas the price is valid only if you buy the accessories that cost an amazingly high $2 grand or something. Sometimes pe...

RE: Cameras Please help....
No but Sony's ratings show the PD with a lower LUX rating, and some indepensdent reviews ( b-roll.net had one) talk about better LL performance on the 170/2100 optics. As much as I like my SOny cams, the new Panny and JVC cams offer some great features, in cams sub $6000 MSRP ( probably 4k - 4.5k st...

The PD 170 has better low light response than the FX1. Also the 170 has the XLRs on teh camera, doesn't need the beachtek for XLR audio decvices

We use wireless lavs on our hosts for The Underground, the Sony is a decent mic for the price for occasional use and for most simple dialog work. The biggest trick is to run all your mics through a mixer before the camera, much easier to balance the mics from the board than from individual volume co...

Re: RE: Bandwidth!!!
What's the difference between traffic and bandwidth then? Bandwidth is the available speed of the media In this case expressed in Mbit or Gbits per second, which is why I was wondering about 1 or 2 Gbit per second ADSL circuits. Traffic or throughput is the volume of data you move over a period of ...

Also be aware that it uses XLR - if you have a high end camera you're in business, otherwise you will need a matching cable to get to teh mini plug for the cam.

Reboot to safe mode, then run your spyware removal tool. Also try the MS anti spyware beta and Adaware in combo, but these types of self protecting programs need to be removed in safe mode. Also some you may need to remove the registry entry for tham manually from HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Cur...

RE: Bandwidth!!!
1 GB in what period? VOIP will shew up a considerable chunk of throughput. Bandwidth is the measure of data speed, throughput is the measure of data volume. Bandwidth is measured as per second transfer, Throughput is total data moved ina given period of time. Are you sure you can get 1- 2 GB in ADSL...
