RE: My Re-Edit of Highlander Advert
I never saw the original, so i dont really know what to comment. Other than that that video reminded me of how much i cant stand Slipknot.

When i film things i try to get the actors to portray realistic emotion. I do my best to do the same. But for me though, people i get to act are used to being on a stage in a play. Although some people disagree....stage acting is NOTHING like film acting. Stage is all body language, film is about %9...

Epsilon's right. Rhys, it always seems like you come up with weapons you wanna use or fight scenes you would like to make and base your script around that. When it should be the opposite. Story comes first. Fights and guns are just tools to tell the story.
RE: Re: RE: McDonalds
What i read was ok. But, i thought you were writing a script? Is this a book?

Best advice I have for you Rhys....write some scripts. I know these fights are just tests or experiments. But youve been doing those for awhile now, you must have learned something by filming these? Well, put it to use. Write a movie with focus on story and acting. And if you want a challenge...make...

I liked that. I liked it alot. And, as someone who writes alot of short films I HATE it when people complain about no plot twists or tieing it up at the end....Its a short film. Theyre not all supposed to be like that. I like an open ended visual based short film. This has almost inspired me to do a...

Ooooh!! I have one. And I would love to see someone film it. We were going to, but everything in essence just went to hell. And, before I give it to you. I do plan on also filming it myself...someday, probably 2 or 3 years from now. All I ask is that my name is in the credits for head writer. PM me ...

RE: My first short - what do you guys think?
The Monocle film was alright. Lawriejaffa was right in how it seems very sterotypical independent, arthouse film. It sort of hurt my eyes to watch it though (NOT meant as an insult) but the way every cut was a fade was just a strain on my eyes. Those cuts as well seemed too forced. Trying to hard to...

That was pretty good. Looked good except for that it seemed like the body hit the white wall slightly too soon. The weight of it was slightly off, but the body itself looked pretty real. Very nice.

RE: A New Short Experimental/Horror Film Online!
Well, the camera quality was pretty good....Unfortunately thats about it. I really didnt like this. It made no sense at all, what so ever. The entire time it felt as if someone was desperately trying, trying way too hard, to be very weird and surreal. And it just didnt work. I get what you're trying...

That was actually pretty good. The zooms did work, but it was because this was an action sequence. Anywhere else they would look out of place. For some reason i especially loved the scene of her being shot (not to sound morbid) But the angle you had with only the sky as the background, everything ab...

Very good. Only thing I suggest would be to find a louder sound effect for the laser pistols the man is shooting out of the car. They just sounded like faded pops in the trailer. But yes, the ship looks fantastic. Nice job.
RE: Re: RE: McDonalds
Yes, yes, thank you both of you. My friends think im crazy when i dont eat the bacon if syrup has gotten on it. No. That is wrong. Its an abomination. No meat should be sweet.

RE: GoodBye Tale - SEE NOW
Ha. Wow. That was really funny. It was supposed to be funny right? Only suggestion is to speed up the fights. Way too many times it looked all slow like two people practicing so that they wont hurt eachother. Sometimes it looked like they were waiting to be hit. So, faster fights would be good. But ...

If you dont want the characters to use magic and only do realistic things.....why are there wizards and magicians and masters at all? Just use normal people in the modern day world, it will make things MUCH easier on you.
