Its also amamzing what you can find in toy stores. Give them maybe a new dash of paint. Fill the screwholes, take out the clackers and if not seen in an extreme close-up then they are sometimes very effective. An old gun butt with a wood or plastice barrel from a distance works also.

Greetings from Oz. Just a quick note that a farily safe and reliable little pyro that I have used in various action shorts are film cannister charges. Film cannister filled with blackpowder or sparkler dust, with a sparkler wick and packed nice and tight with cotton wool. Experiment with the wick. S...
