No problem. I think movies also do that sometimes when the music fades from the soundtrack onto a radio or TV in the movie.

hmmm...when I downloaded it, the file appeared to be 60 minutes long and could not be opened.

I think that gradually taking the bass out, and than fading that rest out would have this effect.

RE: Distribution question

Exactly. Wal-mart is not your best venue for hunting videos. If you've got a big-budget action film...maybe. Your video would probably sell better at a...I don't know, a hunting store?

RE: Distribution question

erm... You have to ask yourself if people going to Wal-Mart are going to buy something like that. I would hype it up online. Show clips on YouTube or Google, or edit together a really good trailer. Once enough people are interested, have it duplicated and sell it yourself online. I would not mess wi...

Really? I like Canons a lot...I've had one for three or four years and have not yet had a problem with it. As for Sony, some of their consumer cameras use touchscreens now, and I find that really annoying.

This was an enjoyable film overall. I liked the flat look...it really added to the 'dullness' of the afternoon. The dolly shots were very creative, but were a little shaky. The sound design was superb...nothing else to say about that. Dialogue was easily understood. However, the first scene could ha...

Music with Found Objects (film)

Hey there,

Did this for fun...It's basically a bunch of household items recorded and than looped and arranged in the editing software.

Watch it on Youtube

Watch it on Revver

And here's what the timeline looked like while editing (huge image).

RE: Splitscreen in Final Cut Pro ??

You have to go into the Canvas, and there's a button up at the top with options for what is displayed in the canvas. Click "Image + Wireframe". This will display a wireframe on the clip. To resize it, just click one of the corners and drag in the direction you want it. If you want to crop ...

Convert your audio tracks to AIFF, if you have any music. Final Cut doesn't work well with other formats.

RE: What should I get?

Be sure it has a mic in jack, and a hotshoe (for shotgun mics, lights, accesories). I've tried a consumer Sony camera, and it utilizes a touch-screen for a lot of the functions. I actually find that really annoying, and would prefer physical buttons on the camera. I have a Canon, and would highly re...

RE: Editing HD on a G4

Hey,

I use FCE HD, but without HD video. I'm pretty sure you can degrade the video quality to a "Preview" quality that edits a lot faster, and doesn't need as much rendering.

What do you think of the GL2, Kentertainment? Does it support 16:9? Progressive scan?

Just asking 'cause I'm interested in maybe picking up a GL2.

Hey, great job. Your footage from the Panasonic camera looks great! Are those clips in the first blog color corrected? (of him jogging, at the top of the hill) It's really fun to watch these; just to see how the film is being made. And I have to ask...what font are you using for the titles? It's ver...

That one was much better.

You should add "There are some things money can't buy..." in there before he says "For everything else, there's MasterCard."

Don't think any terrorists will be getting ideas from this :).

You could definitely cut this down to something shorter and more exciting. It was too shaky, and it could use some better music (something thats not "Middle-Eastern" ?)

RE: 8mm to DV or tv

Yeah, you're going to need an 8mm Deck or Camcorder to view the tapes. Using a deck would cause a lot less wear on the camera, (possibly the cause of the ejection problem?) but it would probably cost a lot more to get.

You mean a very stylized movie? With special angles, lenses, a lot of color correction, etc. Like Sin City.

Anyway, a movie where you could take out any frame and hang it in a museum would undoubtedly be boring. Thats what pictures are for.

Do you mean primary lenses? Or a 'prime' lens with a fixed focal length?

Not sure what you're talking about.

You can, but you'll need some software to understand the raw video files.

Here's a tutorial on wikiHow using a free program, DVD Decrypter: http://www.wikihow.com/Rip-DVDs

You've got your films mixed up, Dorian. "The Week" is a collabrative project concerning each day of the week. Each day gets a different type of film, but all are the films linked by some theme.

I don't think this project has a title yet.

Haha! I was laughing. The whole feel of it reminds me heavily of some of Ornsack's sketches. (that's a compliment!) lol, even Ornsack's sketches don't have that many swears per minute! Honestly, I just don't get this script. I suppose it might be funnier if I saw it in film...but it seems a little ...

lol MadCowFilms and madcowmovies.

MadCowFilms, you might want to check out this site: http://www.soundtrack.net/trailers/

It lists all of the music used in nearly every movie trailer released. So you can find an action movie on there, and see what music was used in it.
