Im doing a report for my ninth grade paper on how stupid and useless the MPAA ratings are in America. Granted they have purpose but at least give a better range. If it is good i might mail it off to the MPAA and tell them how i feel.

ha right on paul. it's kinda hard to read a "SCRIPT" when its all in CAPS and in a story format. Fix it then i will read.

Umm. Check out The Perfect Storm sounktrack, great things by James Horner, most of it is the mood you are looking for especially once you are towards the end of the soundtrack.

Well i used to have an aaton super 16mm and it was great, film for it wasnt too bad and the guy that did my film was a family friend so i got away pretty cheap. great camera.

the comp idea would be good, you might want to look into old old comp parts sometimes those are the coolest..

Well if you can weld you would be good with buying a bunch of metal poles and sheet metal. The feel would greatly be increased. By the shiney metal???? Just a suggestion

yeah because from what I have heard if you havent had experience with a 35mm then you really wont be able to operate or find good angles so yeah, director of photography would be a yes. I would go with the wooden frame or if you know how welded metal. If you dont know how to weld, what you want would cost too much. but about the van, dont ruin a perfectly good van, use it for another film, there is so much more potential as in building it as a set. Hey man to be able to post and say you are willing to compose means that you have confidence which means i have confidence in you and that you are good. It would probably be a dramatic kinda action soundtrack. but that wont be so soon seen as my camera is out of commision
