lighting!....help!

yea, lighting is quite important for a good looking picture, ive been looking at a set of lamps on BH for about 100 usd, but i realized that i actually have no idea what im supposed to be looking for. i don't want lights that totally white out the set, so i guess an umbrella would also be a good ide...

oy, if you want to be safe, you could always film footage of a public area, then film closeup shots of a shootout in a private area, and then edit they well, thus making it look like ur shooting in a public street, thats just an idea. Also, don't do anything in LA, the cops there have a nack for sho...

im in maya, but im sure it works the same way as lightwave...

oy, yea, so the tracking worked well, but my main problem is matching the lighting,

this particular one was rather haphazard, so i was wondering:

is there any way (in AE) to match the resolution of the composited CG, with grain or something? otherwize this thing sticks out like crazy

um, frankly i think he's a dick, i personally don't care what he says about my little clip because i had never used after effects before, but thats not the point, much like wildstorm said, critism here is to give suggestions in a way to improve work, not to simply 'inform them' that their work is co...
