It's actually a very good book. I am in the States and though the book is published in the UK and focused on British filmmaking it is still a very educational and helpful book. I would advise it for anyone interested.

I think this is a good idea. It must be executed perfectly though. It will require a firm script and a good acting crew. To offer my two cents though I must say this would work better as a feature film or an extended short film. The first part is where I think you would lose people. You would sell t...

Re: First Drama Script - Untitled

Okay, here is what I think. You're trying to hard in the begining to make a point to where the film is going. It actually comes of pretty stale. The voice overs aren't subtle at all. Too many questions, not great writing. You will learn, fundamentals of writing, never have the reader/viewer presente...

I'd say no, the standard feature length screenplay is at minimum 90 pages. Now to write a reasonable 90 page screenplay would take two months minimum and that is writing for probably 4-6 hours everyday. So two months down. By the time you cast your film, secure locations, work out the kinks in the s...

RE: Transfer to HTML code

If you are just trying to embed a video into a webpage, so that it is streaming rather than someone having to download, find your way to the following webpage and follow the instructions. This makes it easy and simple.

Yeah, I already did research on minidics. Being cheap I was actually looking for a cheaper route, but decided to settle on it. Check out http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=1001417&navigationPath=n32120n4692...

RE: sound

Just recently got a minidisc recorder for the same purpose. Picked up the Sony MZ-N1 (you can view the item here: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-N1.html ) on EBay for about $75. The recording quality is impeccable, even with the crappy test mic I used. The MZ-N1 is really intended for playback...

Looks like day, with the contrast dulled and blurred and out of focus, really doesn't look all that great if subbing for night. Just looks like overcast.

That there is how I write my scripts. I use a freeware software plugin for Word which pretty much helps with the formatting.

What program are you editing with? Premiere would be useful to help with that....as for other programs I am not sure. You can download a free 30 day trial of Premiere at Adobe's website. The trailer looks good, however I would advise maybe working with the voice over. When it cuts in and out, the bl...

RE: How do I film a Mirror?

In the film Garden State, the created a wall around the camera to mask it. This allowed them to film the mirror head on. The only time you can actually see the camera is when he opens the cabinet and it's quick. If you have the film watch it with commentary.
